SUBJECT LCDR Sideris, N. in regards to operation White Army, Purple Baroness
OBJECTIVE Discern cause of intelligence gap which resulted in failure of operation, henceforth the “Xedi intelligence gap”

SUMMARY Upon review, this officer concludes that LCDR Sideris, N. did operate effectively and to the best of his abilities with the resources at his disposal. The Xedi intelligence gap is deemed to be a result of external factors which at the time were outside the realm of control for the auditee.
FULL ASSESSMENT
The primary contributors to the Xedi intelligence gap were firstly the Dominion’s agenda against Starfleet objectives, and secondly that Starfleet was unaware of this agenda at the time.
During the months that lead to the Isep Xedi coup, it has been revealed that the Dominion was actively feeding false information to Starfleet. The communications relay which was being monitored to advise the Doza Task Force had been interfered with by the Dominion, resulting in collecting fabricated and innacurate intelligence.
This was discovered only upon the investigation related to this audit, and is the chief factor for this officer’s conclusion.
This means that Intelligence Compilation, Analysis & Advisement (the scope of duties for the auditee) were not the point of failure which caused the Xedi intelligence gap, as all available intelligence was utilized to the best of the auditee’s capabilities.
