NARRATIVE
Upon arrival in system attempted to make contact with Federation runabout Phoebe, as per request by LCDR Sideris. Debris consistent with Federation Yellowstone-class runabout located in orbit of Isep Xedi III, no remains or lifesigns detected. Began search for survivors, contacting Xedi vessels in orbit to appraise Xedi authorities of situation and request assistance. Commander of Xedi vessel Intelligentsia denied presence of debris field in orbit in spite of obvious evidence to the contrary, denies knowledge of Federation personnel.
Scans revealed several relevant facts:
- Isep Xedi III shielded from scans and transporters by sophisticated jamming field
- Source of jamming field identified as Xedi vessel Intelligentsia
- Xedi vessels found to be fitted with advanced polaron weapons, matching Dominion weaponry circa Stardate 50564.2
Multiple requests to search surface of planet for extraction of Federation personnel denied. At approx. 22:38 hours transmission received from surface of Isep Xedi III from MACO CAPT Valencia, reporting Federation team and Xedi officials being held by Xedi military forces and requiring extraction. Attempted to negotiate for extraction of Federation personnel with captain of Intelligentsia, Xedi captain responded by deploying fighter compliment.
Engaged Intelligentsia and supporting Xedi frigates with intent to disable jamming system. Battle concluded with moderate damage to D’Ishae and destruction of Intelligentsia. With jamming system disabled recovered Federation personnel, Xedi Educators, and captive Xedi colonel from surface, and departed Xedi Isep system at best speed.
