LOCATION: Deep Space 13
CLAIM: Network intrusions; vandalism; forgery of official documents
DIRECTIVE: Investigate to identify vandal and means of intrusion
ASSIGNED PERSONNEL:
ENS Ava Gij (lead) (NPC)
NARRATIVE: Notified via mail (see attachment) of incident in EHL. Probably just a dumb joke, but we need to know how they got in and plug the hole.
RECOMMENDATION:
Coordinate with Ops for computer stuff
Trace source of the forged work order
Review access logs from EHL entertainment systems
Flag incident for review in next DS13 network security audit
ADDENDUM: Received second report of forged work order for personal quarters. Possibly related. Run it down and flag for reassignment if it turns out to be coincidence.
ADDENDUM: Identified source of fraudulent work orders as Lt. Cmdr. Enel Pom. Questioned Pom, who claimed ignorance of the incident. Pom reported lending a PADD to colleague Lt. Cmdr. Derek Hastings, who still hasn't returned it. Next questioned Hastings, who immediately confessed to falsifying both trouble tickets and breaching Event Horizon Lounge security to commandeer entertainment screens. Said it was all just a practical joke to scare some people.
Allowed Hastings to make arrangements for his kid, then brought him in.
