A song for Miata.

I have finally settled on a theme song for K'Meiuu:
Keel - Speed Demon
And now she's a character, to recap what Tavistock's theme is:
Chase & Status: No Problem

BIG POST ALERT
I actually love that this thread exists, cause in previous fleets of mine I swear I was the only one that ascribed theme music to my characters. Or every else just had instrumental tracks and I was picking actual songs, but no, you guys get it! So naturally I've put thought into this in the past but I am only posting it all now because I am lazy (and a lot of this is copy pasted from a post on ACI about the same thing with non-applicable characters removed).
Argo Characters
Alina Mandra
Shatter Me - Lindsey Sterling ft. Lizzy Hale - General theme for Alina. This is one where the devil really is in the lyrics. Alina knows computers and machines better than people being quite the introvert so it fit with the theme of the song having a lot of mechanical connotations and trying to break out of a mold which reflects the ongoing development of this character. Alina also happens to be a violinist IC, which is kinda why I picked a Lindsey Sterling song (ok it may also be the other way around too).
Rekar tr'Keriahn
Nuclear - Mike Oldfield - I can see some people head scratching on this if they've met Rekar in RP already. I've turned Rekar into something of an enigma character because the character and I have a history of disagreeing on how to develop him (you read that right, I treat my characters like they have a say in this, totes hardcore, lol). The result has ended up creating an amusing commentary of the effects of chaotic escalation which somewhat amusingly fit into his Fire Element alignment. The song being Nuclear kind of references how he is past even fire, that is the chaotic part of the equation. Also there is a slight pun in that Rekar is a survivor of extreme radiation damage, so that gives an extra spin on the term nuclear. If you still don't think it fits him entirely, also keep in mind I play him close to the chest and Rekar when off duty or in the lounge as most would know him acts extremely more flippantly than when on duty.
(And observant people will remember I mentioned IC that Rekar has been defined as having a 'nuclear personality.' This song was already in my mind when I said that.)
Why did I chose a video related to MGSV for that song? Cause it's awesome, and I learned about that song through MGSV as well. Serendipity I guess.
Nalah t'Feiahn
-- To be decided --
I am pretty well settled on who Nalah is and how I play her.. but I have not yet actually settled on a song that I think fits her yet. I could get cheeky on the 'For Science!!' aspect of her and find something but I don't know. I'll figure it out and update this post or make a new one eventually.
Non-Argo Characters
Why am I giving you songs about non-Argo characters? These are characters that I like to view as cross-fleet RP characters and are part of my expanding character canon (all of my characters have some connection to each other, 6 degrees of separation kind of thing). They can be used in stories (likely only my own probably) or casually in RP but would likely never be in the fleet for various reasons. I am constantly trying to find ways to get them involved in stories too because I enjoy playing them even if they don't mesh perfectly with the stories we do. I think it is worth it for the fun of it though, even if no one else agrees, heh. I also enjoy world building so that is partly why I do this.
Antia Liana-Tems
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen - Current theme for Antia, reflects her active personality and reluctance to let anyone get in the way of her goals. Most of you haven't met Antia, but imagine a young mix species girl (Trill, Romulan, and Human DNA, in that order) with low restraint and no faction allegiance, but a heart of gold of course, lol. Often mistaken for a mercenary.
Bonus songs
I'm Still Standing - Elton John - Older theme for Antia. I've been RPing Antia for almost 5 years now, so she's gone through changes as anyone does in that kind of time frame. It fit older stories I did for her and Allyson Rueber (a character of another RPer I played with, no longer in game). This theme is not as relevant now.
Not Your Kind of People - Garbage - Theme for the Liana Defense Corporation.
Here's to You - Ennio Morricone and Joan Baez - This one is really abstract for me. The song it self is a tribute to two anarchists that received death sentences in the US in the 1920s, though many people believe it was done because they were anarchists and not because of the crimes for which they were convicted (robberies and murders for the record). History aside, the reason I pinned it to Antia is because she is a non-faction character, and operates a non-governmental organization (LDC). She isn't an anarchist so much as she seeks a status quo in the interstellar community that she does trust specific governments to handle properly. This viewpoint has caused some friction between her and the Federation.
(And yes the last two songs are also somewhat lifted from the MGSV soundtrack. I did find them that way but the relevance is mostly coincidental. You could draw some parallels between LDC and MSF/Diamond Dogs/Outer Heaven from MGS lore, but that's not really what I am going for. If anything I expect LDC to evolve into something more like Mithril from Full Metal Panic, heh)
Taiv tr'Sahen
Taiv is Nalah's brother for the record. He's a khre'Riov in Republic Central Command which is why he is not in Argo. I've considered looking into way of him being some sort of liaison but I am not sure it is possible given the current setup.
The Old Man's back again - Scott Walker - General theme for Taiv. This represents how he was gone from society for a while.. something you'll have to learn more about via RPing with him.
Bonus song
Bridge over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel - theme for Arhana t'Sahen, Taiv's wife.

For Taev.
No, I'm not kidding, it actually fits him well. Just change paint with negotiate, and canvas with world. Al the other words fit well to his perspective on life as they are. He's just happy and wants other people to get along and be happy, and believe in themselves. Bonus: Bob Ross and Taev were both in the military.

If this is your first time with us I'd like to extend a personal invitation to join us and negotiate each week.
I believe, I believe, every day's a good day when you negotiate.
You can almost negotiate with anything, all you have to do is practice.
Make love to the world.

You're flying through space and receive a stray transmission through the darkness of space, you listen in to this random signal and what do you hear?
A wild Kumar singing out it's mating call, this is what you'd hear...
