SMELLS LIKE FORSHAK!
by Renni White & Zegg

Earlier today, the merchant ship S.S. Amkow came across a body floating in the Kassae Sector. The body is said to belong to a Klingon male and although formal ID has yet to be undertaken, these reporters have it on good authority that it belongs to a disgraced member of House K'mporv, T'kuq. Mr T'kuq had gone missing after the Battle of Jelit, a large battle in which the forces of the Klingon Empire triumphed over the Borg, clinching victory from the maws of defeat, with the typical Klingon ferocity and honour we have all come to know and love. Survivors say that Mr T'kuq had fled from the battle with his ship and was not seen for a long time until he resurfaced as part of the Trans-Sector Trading Triskadecharch.

It is not known how the Klingon was killed or how ended up floating in space. This follows months of rumours of an underground criminal group led by the Klingon as part of the TSTT, which we have it on good authority was being investigated by the 38th Fleet, known as "Argo". In a previous article, we reached out to the TSTT to comment on such rumours, but we have yet to receive any response. In a private press release which your trusty reporters were able to get information from, the head of the TSTT, Victor Remmington, released the following statement:

"...he [t'kuq] is a valuable member of the TSTT team and we [tstt] give our thoughts [and prayers] to his family [disgraced], in this troubling time [because he's dead]..."

Captain Rezov of the Amkow tells of how they found the body:

"...we [the amkow] were on our normal trade route [through the kassae sector] when we found [the body hit the ship], the body [of the dead klingon]."

From our undercover investigation, this murder seems like - continued on page 3...

JACKING THE JAZZ
by Renni White & Zegg

Imagine this. An invading force comes in, arrests an innocent man, and starts a riot at a peaceful bar. Sound like Nazis? WRONG! This happened on Drozana when Starfleet came to arrest a Mister Henry Hawkins who was at Dozana laying down some awesome tunes.

Bursting in, armed to the teeth, they demanded the arrest of Henry Hawkins [the amazing jazz player]. The man [Henry] complied, but, in typical Starfleet style, they manhandled him [Henry] off the stage and to a prison cell. During this, protesters tried to point out how Starfleet were wrong, and in doing so, a riot broke out, instigated by the Starfleet officers.

Mister Hawkins, who is a regular patron of Drozana, was accused for piracy and war crimes, both charges he denies. With such hefty charges, there must be clear evidence that he has committed such a crime. But we all know Starfleet don't require evidence because they can do what they want in their role as "self styled saviours of the galaxy".

We sat down with the owner of Drozana who had this to say: "When they came, they said they were arresting a dangerous criminal. What can someone do when Starfleet arrive with their ships of peace? All you can do is hope they don't cause damage. They probably won't even pay up. I tried asking who the criminal was, but they didn't give a name. If they had said it was our main act, Mister Hawkins, I would have rejected their offers. Mister Hawkins is a valued customer of Drozana and - contined on page 4...

NO JUSTICE
by Renni White & Zegg

At the start of last month, we reported that THE Mister Henry Hawkins was incarcerated by Starfleet. We got a lot of support from our readers, but also a few letters praising Starfleet justice and saying that if Mister Hawkins was truly innocent, that Starfleet would find him innocent. I ask those people now; where is the justice? Why have we be contacted by Mister Hawkins' lawyer stating that she has not been in contact with Mister Hawkins at all? Why have members of Mister Hawkins' family been in contact saying they have not received word of Mister Hawkins' status. Where is the justice in that?

Time and time again, we have found Starfleet to be above the law. Sure, they act like they are the defenders of peace, but where do we draw the line between safety and freedom? And how long does it take before - contined on the next page...

ORB-BYSMAL!

by Renni White & Zegg

The Bajorans. A peaceful species who have long suffered under the yoke of the oppressor. The Cardassians. The Dominion. And now, Starfleet.

Yes, you heard that right, Starfleet. Surprise, surprise.

A couple of days ago, Starfleet security brutally put down not just one, but TWO peaceful protests on the notorious station, Deep Space 13. The reasons for the protests? Starfleet’s unlawful arrest of a religious leader, Mr Henry Hawkins, and the theft of a Bajoran religious relic, an Orb of the Prophets.

Mr Hawkins had been peacefully preaching the word of the Prophets on Deep Space 13. He had completed all the necessary PADDwork and carried all the necessary permits. He had willingly gone through security checks and offered the Orb to station security before he had arrived on the station. They had all cleared him to be there. He had every right to be there.

But not for Starfleet. Though they preach freedom of belief, they turn their noses up at religion. To them, a preacher on the base was horrific. So, during one of Mr Hawkins’ peaceful sermons, a Starfleet Captain proceeded to injure himself and placed the blame on the Bajoran orb. Once this had been done, they wasted no time in arresting Mr Hawkins for assault and confiscated the Orb of the Prophets.

When protestors rightly came together to voice their anger at such tyranny, security fell upon them like a targ on raw meat, brutalising and arresting the peaceful protestors. As of this stardate, one of the protestors, a Ms Seres Avlin, is still under arrest and is facing numerous charges, including being forced to accept responsibility for Starfleet’s brutality in the protest. One protestor, a survivor of the ordeal, said this of Ms Avlin - continued on page 2…

BREAKING NEWS: MAR’VOGA INVADES!

by Renni White & Zegg

Just moments ago, House Mar’Voga and House Sorzal had an epic fight over the colony planet, Uonas, in the Xarentine Sector. A strategically important location, the planet is within the disputed boundary between the Federation and the former Klingon Empire. The victors of the battle, House Mar’Voga, invaded the world.

With the planet containing many Federation citizens, the question now remains… will Starfleet react?

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.

AN-AXE TO GRIND!

by Renni White & Zegg

After a decade of isolationism, the Tri’vokil Free State as it is now known, stepped back to the galactic stage. Whilst not declaring itself as part of the Republic yet, this reporter has an inside source that states it is only a matter of time before the Free State joins the Republic.

The Romulan Star Empire however, did not take this news lightly. Still parading themselves as the “only true Romulans, with the Republic being filthy traitors”, the Star Empire have set their sights on the Free State, ready to annexe them. Already fleets on both sides have been amassed, and the Federation, never one to keep out of Galactic politics, have issued a statement “defending the ideals of self-determination,”. Bold words from a Federation that demands nations give up freedoms to become a member state.

Meanwhile, whilst the big powers posture and prepare again for conflict so soon after the devesting incursion from the Terran Empire and the divisive Klingon Civil War, the common people on Tri’vokil are no doubt wondering what lies in store for them.

Our reporter visited - continued on page 3…
