SCOPE Assessment of Romulan Star Empire Threat to Republic
CONTEXT Twelve fleets of Star Empire vessels previously tracked as patrolling the border of the Romulan Republic have suddenly vanished from standard observation methods.
OUTCOME Analysis of ingested relevant data confirms that the vessels have cloaked and are moving to attack three identified targets: Beta Reticuli, Chaltok and Tri’Vokil

SUMMARY This office received notification from the data aggregation team that a significant number of Romulan vessels actively patrolling near the Romulan Republic border were no longer observable, effectively vanishing from standard sensors.
This report outlines the investigative efforts undertaken by Starfleet Intelligence to discern the whereabouts, direction, and intent of these missing vessels.
The sudden disappearance of Romulan vessels suggests a deliberate and coordinated action, rather than a series of isolated incidents. Our native and freelance sensor resources detected anomalous fluctuations consistent with cloaking technology employed on a massive scale. These fluctuations were tracked and analyzed to infer the position and trajectory of the cloaked vessels.
Utilizing advanced data processing algorithms and triangulation techniques, our team extrapolated the likely paths of the missing vessels. Through careful analysis of sensor echoes, radiation surges, and other residual signatures left by cloaked ships, we were able to reconstruct the probable trajectories for the various missing fleets.
The three likely targeted planets identified through our extrapolations are Tri’Vokil, Beta Reticuli, and Chaltok. These planets hold strategic significance to the Romulan Republic. Beta Reticuli and Chaltok are located deep within Republic space and will be difficult for the Federation to defend or supply in the short term. Given the number of vessels and their armaments, these fleets have a very good chance to occupy their chosen targets successfully unless we render aid. We anticipate these attacks will take place within the next few days.
One further note: information gathered from the RRW Tebok indicates that the Romulan Star Empire has been actively seeking T’Kon artifacts. The Romulan deployment of a large conventional force suggests they are not acting with the intent of depending on T’Kon technology; however, the possibility that they may be in possession of one or more of these artifacts cannot be discounted. It is imperative for all responding forces to remain vigilant and prepared for any eventuality.
RECOMMENDATION I recommend we share this information with our Republic intelligence counterparts and work with them to determine the most effective response that can be mounted in the brief window of time available. Providing stiff Starfleet resistance at the target closest to us will allow the Republic to focus its efforts on those planets closer to their interior and more difficult for Starfleet to reach quickly.
RECOGNITION This office recognizes LCDR Aurelia t’Veras for timely and effective strategic analysis.
