Operation Summaries: 11th Flotilla - Romulan Republican Force

OOC Overview

The rapid fire nature of events I host (Two hour events weekly each Sunday) makes writing after action reviews somewhat untenable. As a general rule, I do not like making AARs a requirement for stories I run. At the same time, having a place to go to which summarizes mission is critical.

I have therefore opted to create this write up to summarize ongoing plot-threads. Two-fold, this will provide information to RRF Command about ongoing Tebok missions (and fleet wide Romulan-centered missions too). Secondly, it will provide out-of-character information for current stories we are running.

While After Action Reviews will still be written, this write up is meant to serve as a generalized summary. Going forward, I will also be regularly be updating the Commander’s log for RRW Tebok to provide more specific details on information in this write-up. Additionally, this write up will be updated weekly.

11TH EXPEDITIONARY FLOTILLA OPERATION SUMMARIES

TRI’VOKIL

CURRENT STATUS: COMPLETE

Successful direction of Operation Soaring Raptor, a mission to prevent the Romulan Star Empire from capturing the Free-State of Trivokil, denied the Romulan Star Empire a chance to annex the world. Despite using T’kon technology to gain an edge, elements of the 11th Expeditionary Flotilla and the 38th Fleet were able to deny the enemy an advantage.

Key enemy infrastructure was destroyed. Additionally, a key member of the Star Empire’s efforts was captured in an infiltration operation on Rator III. With the Star Empire denied a chance to annex the Tri’vokil system, a referendum was held, where-in the Free-State is expected to join the Romulan Republic.

A ROGUE FACTION

CURRENT STATUS: COMPLETE

After a series of unknown vessels began attacking vessels along the Breen border, the Breen government retaliated by interning a Romulan freighter. Several weeks later, the RRW Valdore and USS Palermo were each attacked by unknown vessels. While initial evidence indicated the Breen were responsible, carefully deduction by the RRW Tebok revealed an unknown faction was responsible.

The unknown faction’s reach was extensive. It managed to appropriate Starfleet and RRF technology to make powerful warships. Additionally, it utilized ancient T’Kon technology stolen from the Vulcan Science Academy to augment its vessels.

Eventually, the identify of this rogue faction was discovered. Disgruntled members of Starfleet, the RRF, the CDF, and the KDF; fearful of future dangerous incursions like the Iconians, were utilizing aforementioned technology in a misguided attempt to protect members of the Khitomer Alliance. Their base of operations was centered in an old Nor-class station in the Vanden system.

An RRF task force, spearheaded by the RRW Tebok, was able to dislodge and destroy this factions base of operations. All personnel involved were captured and were sent to their respective governments to face trials for their actions. Further, the appropriated technology was returned to the Vulcan Science Academy.

Disturbingly, post-mission analysis reveals that Rator III might have been direct some of the faction’s operations. In particular, the Star Empire’s interests in T’Kon technologies was utilized by this faction. Fortunately, it appears that all T’Kon technology was disassembled and recovered by members of the RRF.

IMPENDING INCURSION AND COLONIAL PREPERATION

CURRENT STATUS: ONGOING

Disturbing memos are being circulated throughout the Republic about a possible incursion by the Romulan Star Empire (Rator III). These memos detail, among another things, a concerted effort by the RSE, Hirogen Hunters, and Rogue Klingon Houses to attack the Romulan Republic.

In the event these memos prove to be correct, the Romulan Republican Force is preparing for such an incursion in three aspects. Details and status of these aspects are listed below. Pertinent links are also listed below.

KLINGON ROGUE HOUSES:

Capitalizing on the chaos of a Borg incursion Starfleet is currently facing, elements of a rogue Klingon House attempted to steal a piece of Borg debris. Elements of the RRF (RRW Tebok leading), along with a KDF warship, stopped the rogue Klingon House in its tracks. Further, the action has facilitated a detente between the Romulan Republic and the Klingon Empire independent of Starfleet diplomacy.

The Klingon Rogue Houses do not appear dissuaded by the setback. Intelligence reports they are repositioning their ships closer to their strongholds.

HIROGEN

The Hirogen appear interested in an intergalactic species. Recent RRF and Starfleet engagements have seen direct engagements with this dangerous enemy. In light of these encounters, the Senate has declared any and all Hirogen vessels operating in Republic space are to be targeted on sight.

COLONIAL DEVELOPMENT

The RRF is currently visiting long-neglected colonies and attempting to facilitate development. Presently, the RRW Tebok is in orbit of Ka’shir, a planet with a toxic atmosphere poisonous to most forms of animal (but not plant or fungi, curiously) life. The Tebok is investigating the destruction of an RRF freighter that crashes on the planet’s surface.

Ka’shir’s importance has increased due to its proximity to the Federation, the Romulan Republic’s most important ally.
