Parallax (March 30 - April 6)

wZrq4u5.png

On another dimensional plane, exists a parallel universe often described as being a mirror of our own. In this Mirror Universe, alternate versions of many of us may exist, leading radically different lives. When every choice we make is a potential fork in the road, there's no telling how each of our lives may have turned out under a different set of circumstances. A harsh dictator might exist as a freedom fighter. An vocal pacifist might exist as a sociopathic murderer. It's also possible that some of us were never even born.

In the Mirror Universe, Earth is the center of the Terran Empire. The Imperial Starfleet is a ruthless organization, which condones torture and murder, that rules over a large portion of the galaxy with an iron fist. Non-Terrans are generally considered second-class citizens, at best. While some may be allowed to join Starfleet, very few ever manage any significant advancement.

The Terran Empire remains in a persistent state of war with the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. Despite offering far more opportunities and freedoms to its 'alien' member races, the Alliance's treatment of Terrans (and those loyal to them) is little better than the Terrans themselves would show any other 'aliens'. While still a major power in the galaxy, the Alliance has lost a significant portion of its territory to the resurgence of the Terran Empire in recent years.

Little is known about the status of the Romulans, except that they control a sizeable portion of space, and remain fairly isolated from the rest of the galaxy. Their technology is rumored to be at least on par with the Terrans and the Alliance, but direct confrontations have been few and far between. Some believe the Romulans are a myth, long since died out. On the other hand, the more informed (and possibly, the more paranoid), seem convinced that the Romulans are still out there... just waiting for the right time to strike.

When: March 30 (starting at alpha) through ??? (ending date TBA, will not be any longer than Fri, Apr 6)

Where: The Mirror Universe

What: A slight break from reality. (even if it is a fictional reality)

OOC point of contact: Staff

Beginning at the start of alpha shift on Friday, March 30th, the fleet holdings will be reserved for Mirror Universe RP. The event is not limited to the Terran Empire. Everyone is free to determine which faction, if any, their character is affiliated with (and it doesn't have to be the same as the prime universe!). The overall event will wrap up at the end of gamma shift on Fri, April 6th.

The fleet starbase will be Battle Station Argo, headquarters of the Imperial 38th Battle Fleet. The embassy will be reserved for use by members of the Mirror Romulan faction. A specific location is not being designated for Alliance RP, but members should feel free to set up Alliance-based RP in any other location (KDF starship bridge, anyone?!).

Please note: This entire event takes place in the Mirror Universe and is entirely separate from Argo's normal RP. There will be no crossovers, and our regular prime universe characters will remain completely unaware of anything that happens during this event. If you have any questions about this, please contact an admin or moderator for clarification.

PARALLAX: THE RPG

After last year's MU weekend, there was some interest in trying a more codified system for the next MU event, so... here it is! The full details on how the system works is detailed out in its own player handbook. But it's important for everyone, even those who choose not to interact with the system, to understand how it impacts everyone, so I'll be explaining that here.

--

0. You do not have to join the RPG system in order to RP in Parallax this year. Repeat: this system is not mandatory to join.

1. This RPG system and rule set will be supplanting the normally free-form nature of all Player vs Player RP actions for the entire duration of the event. By signing up your character to the RPG system, you automatically consent and agree to all the potential consequences that might befall your character during the event as dictated by the game's mechanics.

While there will be a dedicated GM to assist with being creative for the most detrimental effects (total loss of rank/power, enslavement, fake deaths), you should not join the system if you are not okay with losing your character in a permanent death.

2. For all those characters who are not registered to the RPG (or for characters registered to the RPG who wish to engage with characters outside of it), you may still engage in PvP conflict with other characters as long as it is OOCly arranged and coordinated ahead of time with all involved parties. There are no exceptions to this rule.

3. If you are participating in the game system and get knocked out (and your character has not died), you automatically become a non-RPG participant. All further PvP actions must be negotiated OOCly with others ahead of time.

4. The RPG system will need at least 10 participants to be worth running. If there are not at least 10 signups by the time Parallax is set to begin, usage of the RPG system will be pulled and the Parallax end date will be set for Sun, Apr 1.

Mirror Universe Characters

To help make the most of this event, this thread is being left open for anyone who wants to make a brief post of who their characters are in the mirror universe! Ideally, this'll be info that we can all use ICly, so we can dive right into the event with shortened introductions. I'll post my own characters below as an example to help get things started. Feel free to post about your characters, if you're interested, even if you/they won't be able to make the event!

Name:
Affiliation:
Rank:
Available Info:

For those of you who were present last year, this is the perfect opportunity to tell us what your character's been up to, since then.

Please note: Argo's usual Character and Story Policy is suspended for the duration of this event, as the RPG system will be in effect instead.

Name: Neema Perim
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Admiral
Available Info: Commander of the 38th Battle Fleet. She rose through the ranks very quickly, despite her Trill heritage. By all accounts, her attitudes and mannerisms are as close to Terran as an alien can hope for, and she's reported to be incredibly effective and utterly ruthless in the execution of her missions. Rumors about her meteoric rise to the admiralty range from the very common, "She's sleeping her way to the top", to the more outlandish, "She employs a secret order of telepathic aliens to stay one step ahead of her Terran competitors". Evidently most Terrans are unwilling to consider the possibility that an alien could simply be an exceptional officer.

Since the apparent death of Admiral Altais two years ago, Admiral Perim has dutifully stepped into the vacant role and led the fleet. Rather than keep an office at fleet headquarters, Perim prefers to lead from the front aboard her flaship, the ISS Betazed. A number of high-ranking officers initially objected to a Trill being allowed to keep such an important posting, but such dissent tended to 'mysteriously' cease after only a short period.

Name: James Kermit
Affiliation: Civilian
Rank: N/A
Available Info: Not every Terran was liberated when O'Brien began his revolution on Terok Nor. Kermit grew up in an Alliance labor camp on Qo'nos, and records of his life and activities until very recently are spotty at best.

Kermit's periodic visits to Battlestation Argo, trading interesting and valuable goods and services for Latinum, have even become something to look forward to, for many of those stationed aboard. At the very least, most seem to tolerate the distraction of his presence.

Name: Seres Avlin
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Lieutenant
Available Info: Lieutenant Seres is a relatively new addition to the security staff of Battle Station Argo. Despite decent performance reviews, her Bajoran heritage and an apparent lack of ruthlessness has effectively stalled her career.

Name: Kirina t'Nalah
Affiliation: Tal Shiar
Rank: Major
Available Info: A vocal proponent of Romulan isolationism, this Tal Shiar Major specializes in ensuring public loyalty. In addition to her 'hands-on' work, she often serves in advisory roles to politicians and high-ranking Naval Officers.

Name: Saul Williams

Available Info: Captain of the I.S.S. Akagi (NCC-1779-B), Captain Williams 'killed' the renegade Nimitz in personal combat. Rewarded for his heroism, Captain Williams was given the I.S.S. Saganami and was granted permission to rename it the Akagi after his previous ship which was lost during the battle.

Captain Williams and the Akagi are currently on their way to join the 38th Battlefleet.

Name: Dactylus Jekk
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Commander
Available Info: The mysterious Saurian inquisitor of Battle Station Argo. Loyalty to the empire is paramount. Dissension is forbidden. Years ago rumors spread that he was only loyal to Admiral Altais, after his apparent death, the Saurian became reclusive. Despite this, those who whisper of betraying the empire still vanish the same day.

Name: Gregory Lestrade
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Colonel
Available Info: His constant attempts to find a worthy successor over the past year seem to have failed for he is still here. This MACO protects the station with an iron fist from internal, and external threats. He is rarely seen out of his armor.

Name: Eli Altais
Affiliation: Himself
Rank: N/A
Available Info: Not...dead?

Name: Sarah Jackson
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Fleet Captain
Available Info: Once Captain to Admiral Altais Flagship the ISS Janus leading the Eclipse battle-group before it was disbanded. She now serves in the 38th Battle fleet still in command of the Janus.

Name: Zanek "Zane" Kelda
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Captain
Available Info: Captain of the I.S.S. Betazed. After the unfortunate and mysterious death of the CO of Admiral Perim's flagship, Zane was promoted to Captain of the vessel despite being a non-human. Or, maybe given the race of the Admiral, due to that fact?

It seems he's managed to remain in her good graces. While he is seen often as a lapdog, he is a vicious one. Officers who cross him don't last long, if rumor and evidence is to be believed. For an Eledri male he is extremely strong and vicious. Given that Eledri men are notoriously weak this fuels speculation as to why and how he may be as large as he is.

Name: Thue
Affiliation: Terran Empire (enslaved)
Rank: N/A
Available Info: A Romulan who has been seen by very few individuals since her capture at the hands of Commodore Desimone last year. No information is known, and very few know of her existence in the Empire. Among Romulans, Thue was known as a scientist working on very dangerous genetic projects under certain powerful patrons.

Name: Jhitel sh'Zarath
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Commander
Available Info: A powerful telepath, this Aenar seems to be almost constantly by Commodore Desimone's side. She doesn't speak much and doesn't have many friends.

Name: Victoria Callahan
Affiliation: Terran Empire, Imperial Starfleet Marine Corps
Rank: Master Sergeant
Available Info: The Imperial Marines are the jack boot on the throat of the galaxy, and Victoria wouldn't have it any other way. Reveling in the Empires campaigns of conquest Sergeant Callahan prides herself in claiming that she has killed a dozen of any species stupid enough to oppose Terran domination, and her scars and trophies stand as proof.

Name: Sii'Yasha Yira
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Slaver
Available Info: The traditions of Sh’Varan slave hunting are among the most ancient in the galaxy, claiming lineage to a long forgotten slaver empire. As the Apex of the Sh’Varan slave ship Bastet, Sii’Yasha Yira hunts her prey with a particular joy. It is said that Yira is always looking for prey to fill her ships holds… or its larders.

Name: Kaeni D'Kyron
Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire
Rank: Senator
Available Info: Struggling in the face of the increasingly frought Interventionist cause, Kaeni continues to plead her case to stand against Terran aggression even as her support wanes.

Name: "Daegnus"
Affiliation: ???
Rank: ???
Available Info: “It came at us like a thousand knives in the dark, rammed itself straight through the Neverender and just… kept going! And those torpedoes… it was like our shields weren't even up. We managed to scan the thing before our sensor array was destroyed. There was one lifesign aboard that thing… What sort of creature could do this?” - Testament of David Walsh, Coward Captain of the Jouret IV Massacre.

Name: D'Kera Mandukar

Name: Dmitri Konieczko
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Captain
Available Info: Commanding Officer of Battlestation Argo. Former CO of the I.S.S. Bloodletting, Captain Konieczko was placed in command of the Battlestation by Commodore Desimone after Captain Nimitz was removed from his posting. Having lost an arm in a battle with the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance to be outfitted with a metal prosthetic and in part to his familiarity of the correcting power of the agony booths, the crew of the Bloodletting gave him the nickname of 'Strongarm'. His hated of the Alliance is well known, as is his tactical prowess having operated on the frontlines for much of his career until his transfer.

Prior to taking command of Battlestation Argo, Captain Konieczko's prosthetic metal arm was upgraded in secret, though he quickly let the benefits of that upgrade slip out. This prosthetic arm presents him with an increased strength as well as a deadman's switch and remotely controlled explosive device. So far this has been enough to ward off would-be usurpers.

Name: Caspius Augustus
Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire
Rank: Diplomat (Officially: Subcommander, Advisor to the Romulan War Plans Council)
Available Info: Caspius is the son of the renowned Romulan War Minister, Eustasius Augustus and his wife, a Vulcan concubine named Valarra. After attending the Imperial War College, Caspius followed dutifully in his father's footsteps, earning promotion to the rank of Subcommander, and becoming involved in the development of weapon upgrades and other significant military technological advancements, including weapon systems that may have the potential to target through cloaking fields. These accomplishments, along with his own determined ambition, led to his selection as a military advisor to the Romulan War Plans Council, and to the Romulan government more generally, in which capacity he presently serves the Empire.

Available Info: Daughter of the ambitious Senator N'alae i-Ra'tleihfi t'Lhaihtrha, this warbird commander is known to be chaotic and unpredictable. Her appointment to Khre'Riov was obviously a political one. It is rumored that her mother and grandfather have her complete loyalty. It is also rumored that she has allied herself with the mysterious Daegnus.

Name: Shiarrael t'Lhoell

Name: Beylara Ailes
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Inquisitor
Available Info: A former Officer of the Empire, once-Commander Ailes departed Battle Station Argo a year and a half ago after successfully interrogating Prime Captain Quint to enter into the esteemed ranks of the Inquisitors--having found her calling. Her devotion to the Empire was honed to a rabid fanaticism, her telepathic powers equally well-trained.

She returned to Battle Station Argo one year ago only to be flung into the depths of political intrigue and power-seeking of which she had no real concern, except who would best serve the Empire. She developed her practice of watching and listening from the sidelines, eschewing as much personal involvement as possible; unless and until someone's loyalty to the Empire is under question.

Name: Dolixa Litur
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Civilian
Available Info: A newcomer to the scene, Dolixa Litur is young, and willing to take advantage of opportunities that arise for her. Denobulans in general are very accommodating to the Terrans, and their submission to the Terran empire earned them a slight amount of respect in comparison to other alien species. This plus her youth and charm are the armaments she comes bearing in hopes of new options at Battle Station Argo.

Name: Vordai i-Ra'tleihfi t'Krediv
Affiliation: Tal Shiar
Rank: Arrain (Centurion)
Available Info: More often quiet than not, Vordai is externally charming, pleasant and respectful to her fellow Rihannsu. Her primary duties include monitoring ship's crews on various assignments for loyalty to the Empire. Currently, she is between assignments, but that does not mean she is ever less-than-watchful. She espouses a wish for Romulan isolationism, but no one who speaks with her could call her a fanatic or rabid about any viewpoint. In conversation, she is extremely calm and moderate.

Name: Naarra e'Riyar
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Chief
Available Info: Naarra is a creature with a fascination for explosives and incendiary devices. She enlisted in the Terran Empire's Starfleet in order to become an EOD specialist and has had a very successful, if quiet, career. She's made no waves, and taken the chances to indulge her interests as she could. Her slightly feral tendencies occasionally raised eyebrows and kept her from some promotions, but as long as she got to play with her explosives, it didn't phase her in the least.

Name: Maiell tr'Parten
Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire
Rank: Commander
Available Info:

"The spirit of Romulus has awakened. The Soul of Romulus has gone forth. Grant us the wisdom and courage to comprehend the greatness of Romulus' spirit. That suffers and endures so hugely for a goal beyond our scope of knowledge. We are all of us children of this Galaxy. Grant us that simple knowledge: If our brothers are oppressed, then we are oppressed. If they hunger, we hunger. If their freedom is taken away, our freedom is not secure. Grant us a common faith, that all aliens shall know bread and peace. That they shall know justice and righteousness. Freedom and security. An equal opportunity and an equal chance to do their best, not only on their own worlds, but throughout the Galaxy! In that faith, let us march. March towards the clean galaxy, Romulan hands can make!"

Over the past year, Maiell has advanced within the ranks of the Tal Shiar. Now, he runs a secret radio network which broadcasts calls of freedom and revolution to the oppressed aliens of the Terran Empire. Maiell believe it is the Star Empire's destiny to liberate the galaxy of the Terran Empire's tyranny, and help build a galaxy where aliens can exist without fear.

On his comms network, 'Freedom in Flight', Maiell espouses the virtues of truth and democracy. In addition, Maiell runs a 'network of freedom', which helps aliens fleeing Terran authorities to reach the safety of the Star Empire; where they're later transferred to worlds beyond the reach of the Empire. As a result, Commander Maiell has been targeted multiple times by Terran Empire agents. A recent attack destroyed the listening station he worked on. Many now assume Maiell to be dead. However, the broadcasts still continue...

Name: Emery Quint
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank:Commodore (Captain)
Available Info:
Quint is well and widely known as a 'Zealot' of the Empire: for the special coldness in his subjugation of worlds, for having a talent for raising the masses into a fanatic frenzy, even non-humans.

Conquest was the order of his early career, often eradicating millions if a world failed to yield to the expanding Terran Empire. There came a time when the arrival of the ISS Templar itself was enough to secure a target--along with its battle group--and that fact bored him, as being unworthy of his skill and dedication. This led into Captain Quint being part of an operation hunting dissidents that resulted in the cleansing of Drozana and also tied into the Incident on Battle Station 13 two years ago.

Since then, Captain Quint has become a student of covert operations; studying the mysterious Romulan threat as well as the group Omnicron. He has also been responsible for a number of such missions, known only to a few high ranking staff. A year and a half past, one in particular returned with a large cache of stolen intelligence, schematics, and even a devastating new weapon. The weapon has been tested, detonated, and proven to be as destructive as promised.

Over the last year, Quint has secured scientists to refine the weapon's use. An interesting side note is that one of his former allies turned traitor and vanished, crew included. Their ship was found but no damage to its hull. There were only some strange bio readings and sludge on the decks and stations. The ship was at Red Alert: shields at full power, weapons armed, and some even fired. The logs recorded a massive protomatter detonation before everything went offline.

Name: Sirena Djaniss
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Captain
Available Info: Serving in the Empire for years, Sirena assisted a shipmate in a mutiny aboard the ISS Wounded Knee, overthrowing their captain. Sirena's Shipmate, Marida Harper, took over as captain and made Sirena the 1st officer. After serving in many engagements, Marida was promoted by Imperial Command, acquiring her own small task force in the process. Sirena as a reward to her loyalty, was given the command of the Wounded Knee and assigned a place within the Task Force, having proven herself despite her alien heritage of being a Xindi.

Sirena now serves in the 38th Battle fleet, having been transferred during standard fleet shuffling, though some parts whisper she still remains loyal to her former captain, as they both continue to plot means of advancement in the Imperial Hierarchy.

Name: T'Pemi Carter
Affiliation: None (mercenary currently in the employ of the Romulans)
Rank: N/A
Available Info: Having been born of a lowly Terran officer and a Vulcan woman, T'Pemi was rejected her whole life by Terran society as a dirty half-breed. After abandonment by her father, T'Pemi and her mother tried surviving on Vulcan and succeed for a few years before her mother tragically passed away due to illness. Taken in by one of rare sympathetic Terran families, T'Pemi continued to be an outsider in her community until at the age of 16 she ran away.

Having spent some time roaming the Alpha Quadrant- running afoul of both criminals and the authorities alike- T'Pemi soon fell in with the crew of the pirate ship Aurora, who quickly recognized her value and trained her on how to survive. By age 19 T'Pemi was a ruthless pirate like her crewmates. As part of her initiation she had to duel a fellow initiate to the death, a fight made easier by her natural strength and endurance bonuses provided to her by her Vulcan heritage. T'Pemi won, killing her opponent and becoming a full member of the crew.

T'Pemi is still on the Aurora, serving as weapons specialist. The Aurora and its crew are one of a handful of outsider ships employed by the Romulans in order to help maintain its isolation, preying on any ships that may stray too close to their territory.

Name: Steven DePoe
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Major
Available Info: The commander of Marine units on the ISS Wounded Knee, Major DePoe is a ruthless if a somewhat inefficient commander. Having avoided fault in several inquiries of incompetence, the Major has somehow managed to become the commander of a Marine unit despite many saying he shouldn't even command a garbage collection detail. Rumors of him bribing, threatening, and even sleeping his way to the top circulate quietly through the ranks of his men, despite the Major's effort to squash such dissent through torture and even executions. However the Major seems to have the full confidence of Captain Djaniss (who some claim is having an affair with the Major) so for now it seems the Major's position is under no threat of being overturned.

Name: Aev i'Rhynne
Affiliation: Tal'Shiar
Rank: Unknown
Available Info: Aev's parents and several of his older siblings were highly active in the underground Artaleirhin Independence Movement. In 2406 elements of the Imperial Garrison on Artaleirh attempted a coup. The attempt was nearly successful, but was ultimately defeated when Imperial reinforcements arrived before the orbital facilities could be secured. Aev's father and older brother, mid level officers, were arrested and executed by the Tal'Shiar in the aftermath. Aev, then 10, was taken into Tal'Shiar custody.

Further records are not widely available, but what little there is suggests Aev underwent training at an unspecified Tal'Shiar facility. Those with proper access would be aware the boy was trained to infiltrate similar movements on other Romulan colonies. His efforts have led to the arrest of several high level traitors over the past decade. Rumors within the Tal'Shiar says he's fiercely loyal to the Tal'Shiar officer that trained him.

Name: Ulrich Stern
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Cadet
Available Info: Ulrich, following his older brother's path, entered the Imperial Academy as soon as he was able. His time at the Academy has been largely uneventful, and he's known as a rather quiet person who's motivations are difficult to pin down. He social circle is entirely human, and he's been known to have an outright hostile attitude towards any aliens.

Name: Esca Aloran
Affiliation: Alliance
Rank: Commander
Available Info: Following the orbital bombardment of Tesr by Imperial Forces Esca joined the Alliance. Serving a role in the Alliance similar to that of a Terran Inquisitor, Esca is known for his utter ruthlessness and complete lack of mercy with anyone even remotely associated with the Terran Empire. Rumors are the man is on a quest for the Terran Commander responsible for the bombardment that killed his spouse.

Name: Dandin Strand
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Commander
Available Info: Dandin has spent his entire career in various close protection details. He's built up a reputation around his ability to keep those he protects safe from the myriad of attempts common in the Empire.

Name: Kawamori Tadashi
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Captain
Available Info: Kawamori hails from the Terran Imperial Province World of Tsubasa II which is a predominantly Xeno-free colony prided on being built up and maintained without and xeno slave labor on the surface where it is maintained they will not step foot. Various Emperors and Empress' throughout Imperial history have labeled the city of Hayate Valley as a favorite vacation spot and as such the city is dominated by a classical palace intended for visits from the Imperial family. Tadashi grew up inspired to serve that family and quickly became an officer recognized for his enthusiasm by Admirals.. almost to the point where they ensured he was sent to successively difficult locations where Alliance forces may end up killing him.... and he kept coming back for more. Some Admirals are smart to be wary of him as they know eventually he'll get Imperial leadership attention, and their positions will be in danger. As of now he is assigned to Battlestation 13 which is known for a tumultuous history that may finally end his record. Tadashi however has no interest in upsetting the status quo of leadership there and will do his assigned job. His goals are well beyond this station anyway.

He is however supportive and helpful to his daughter... who may be even more ambitious than he is.

Name: Kawamori Rumiho
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Lieutenant
Available Info: The daughter of Captain Kawamori and a devious young woman. Her age is normally one for cadets of the Imperial Starfleet but she has used every resource, whether it is her father's success, her mother's notorious weapon designs, or her own insatiable knowledge to skip levels and commission faster than usual. Though some of her rank and position is classically derived by removing weaker officers formally holding those roles, advancing her own position, she also come by a lot of it naturally due to intelligence, skill, and cunning. Though it can be hard to determine at times which are the things to be more wary about. She constantly analyzes a situation and is a favorite of her superiors whom often expect ideas from her. She is a highly sought after officer for Captains to have on their crews as a Captain that can utilize such a rising star well could get good recognition themselves.. maybe even advantage over her own father...

((I decided not to do the obvious and make Rumiho an officer on Tadashi's ship. I did secure a posting for her though.))

Name: Sierra Takamori
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Lt. Commander
Available Info: Sierra Takamori joined the Imperial Starfleet from a far flung colony world with little more than the clothes on her back and a preternatural ability towards flying starships. While she officially studied close quarters combat at the Academy, it was her skills at the Conn which she become most well known for. Many a Captain has begrudgingly given her an allowance or two if only to keep her happy and at the helm of their ship, simply because she is one of the best.

Over the years she gained the call-sign of "Wolf" due to her aggressive flying style and strange predisposition to actually attempt to use teamwork and coordination between multiple vessels during attacks. This has had mixed results in the field, but, none-the-less proven to be overall effective enough to keep her alive and above all else, useful.

Recently, however, she has returned to Battlestation Argo worse for ware. The I.S.S. Albion, to which she is attached, has been reported as MIA after a border skirmish with the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. She herself lead the Albion's Aquarius-Class Escort, the I.S.S. Hibernia, back to the station as Acting Captain. While there is talk of her decision to leave the Albion for dead as cowardice those who know her record may side with her statement of "Tactical Futility" claiming the parent vessel, the majority of it's crew, and of course Captain, was already a loss.

Name: Johnathon G. Traise
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Commander
Available Info: Second Officer aboard the I.S.S. Albion, Johnathon G. Traise is currently listed as either MIA or considered captured by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance.

His previous record indicate a sudden rise to command after a largely classified incident involving the I.S.S. Khitomer, a trans-dimensional device, and a significant amount of Borg Tech from an alternate universe. However, despite his demands for a ship of his own, he has instead been constantly regulated as Chief Science Officer without a posting in active command. His current assignment, much to his chagrin, is as Second Officer to the son of one of his own previously deceased mentors; a posting he openly disdains.

He was known for his extreme anger issues, short temper, and predisposition to jump first-figure out a solution later.

Name: Kul of House Krag'gor
Affiliation: Klingon-Cardassian Alliance
Rank: Dahar Master
Available Info: Kul was born into a well established and strong House on Qo'noS, he was given the finest tutelage in both academia and war available. True to form he was not meeked, despite such privilege, and proved to be a model Klingon Noble Heir.

He volunteered for war service as soon as he could, and worked for years through the ranks to prove his worth before relying on his name and house like many others. Eventually he rose to position captaining the Kristak against not just the Terran Empire, but any enemies of the Alliance. He gained particular notoriety for consistently extending principles of honorable combat and chivalry to his foes. In fact, the title of Dahar Master was first bestowed upon him for that fact, and largely because many viewed his strict reliance to those ways would result in an early death.

But, he is not dead, yet, and perhaps the closest thing to a Paladin of the Alliance as you could get. He still keeps up with his academic studies, particularly Maths and Painting, and considers himself a Polymath.

Name: Sogun "The Smith"
Affiliation: Independent
Rank: Shipwright
Available Info: Sogun is an Orion independent ship collector and master shipwright of her own private shipyards. She has largely been able to maintain her independent status via secrecy and being good at what she does; starship repair, retrofit, refit, and design. Her station, an old Orion facility, is surrounded by her collection of starships, and an active queue of vessels waiting for repairs or upgrades. She has been known to affiliate with Kul of House Krag'gor in the past, and has worked enough for the Alliance that her independence has been questioned.

After the fleet was finally crushed by the Terran Empire forces from their base in the Aldebaran Sector, Sadia has gathered the survivors and pledged her services to the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. From her hidden base in the Briar Patch, Sadia has started launching raids on Terran shipping and outposts in the Orion, Risa and Aldebaran sectors.

NOTE: Sadia's real name is not a known quantity, as a pirate she goes by her call sign.

EDIT: added the call sign and note about character name.

Name: P'tok Son of Modreth
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Slave (Long-time/Trusted)
Available Info: P'tok was found on a derelict Alliance freighter by Vulcan collaborators when he was just five years old. While living with his Vulcan guardians, he was taught to blindly obey the superior Terran race. Unfortunately, his Vulcan siblings did not learn the same lesson. Upon his twentieth birthday, P'tok was taken off-world by his Vulcan brother and sister. In the absence of Pon Farr, they believed it logical to initiate him in some way (at least, that is what he was led to believe). The three of them were caught smuggling Terran propulsion schematics to the Alliance, unbeknownst to P'tok, and were taken into custody. A hasty trial ensued in which P'tok's siblings were executed. The uncharacteristically merciful Terran judge saw that P'tok had not been knowledgeable of the plans to smuggle Terran technology to the Alliance and decided to take the obedient Klingon as a slave.

P'tok spent ten years in Judge Kimora's service until the elderly statesman died "expectedly." He was then sold to [INSERT NAME OF DS13 OFFICER] to be part of [HIS/HER] personal staff. For the past seven years, P'tok has served honorably and is among [INSERT NAME]'s most trusted confidants. He harbors no ill-will toward the Terran Empire and sees it as his life's mission to protect whomever he serves with his keen mind and fortitude.

OCC: P'tok needs an officer to serve. Please PM me if that could fit your character's story. I will reach out to people if I don't hear from anyone in the next couple of days. I anticipate that P'tok would serve in a more civilian-esque capacity, which would entail various kinds of subterfuge and, as expressed in the bio, would come with seven years of unfaltering loyalty.
