LOCATION Erunt System, Risa Sector

MISSION Response to emergency orders from command.

OUTCOME Mokai reinforcements held off. Ships in various states of damage.

KEY PERSONNEL

  • CAPT A. Mirazuni (U.S.S. Endeavour)
  • CAPT A. Nimitz (U.S.S. Pegasus)
  • CAPT F. Skye (U.S.S. MacAlpine)
  • CAPT D. Tungsten (U.S.S. Dragon)
  • CAPT T. Zarath (U.S.S. Cassini)

BACKGROUND Mokai forces have been targeting sites containing prototaxites stellaviatori spores. One such site is located in the Imaga System, in the Risa Sector. Whilst attempting to neutralise the spore colonies, the U.S.S. Enterprise was ambushed by Mokai forces. Whilst the U.S.S. Enterprise was given assistance from the I.K.S. Bortasqu’ there were more ships en route to the system that threatened to overwhelm the two ships. The nearest 38th Fleet ships were tasked with heading off the Mokai reinforcements.

NARRATIVE The U.S.S. Endeavour was the third ship to arrive, after the U.S.S. Pegasus, U.S.S. Cassini, and U.S.S. MacAlpine. Captain Nimitz had operational command for the mission.

Upon arrival, we moved to counter the cruisers that had isolated the U.S.S. Cassini from the others. This movement was successful and allowed for the U.S.S. Cassini to move away to render assistance to the other ships, whilst the U.S.S. Endeavour engaged the two cruisers, which became three as one more warped in to join the fight.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, the U.S.S. Pegasus and U.S.S. MacAlpine had engaged the three battleships, whilst the U.S.S. Cassini was engaging the Birds of Prey that had also joined the battle. The U.S.S. Dragon had been infected by the Mokai virus, but after they had cleared it, they assisted in disabling the cruisers and the remaining Birds of Prey.

The ships then all turned on the remaining battleships. One of the battleships was destroyed by overwhelming fire from the assembled ships, whilst another escaped. The final battleship, already disabled, moved in typical Klingon fashion, trying to target the three largest ships with its warp core breach. The U.S.S. Endeavour managed to evade, whilst the U.S.S. MacAlpine was able to move to minimise the damage taken. The U.S.S. Pegasus however, already damaged, was unable to move and took the brunt of the explosion.

After not being able to contact the U.S.S. Pegasus, this officer took command, asking the U.S.S. Cassini to rescue the Klingon survivors, the U.S.S. MacAlpine to provide overwatch whilst initatiating repairs, and the U.S.S. Dragon to assist in rendering aid to the U.S.S. Pegasus.

After the U.S.S. Pegasus was stabilised with assistance, the ship was towed back to Deep Space 13.

RECOMMENDATION A number of ships were affected by the Mokai virus. Whilst the crews performed well to purge the systems, a program should be made to counter the virus quickly and effectively.

Captain Nimitz should recompense the U.S.S. Endeavour for the loss of drones we suffered when assisting the U.S.S Pegasus in her repairs. He should also be reminded that, when in operational command of a battle such as this, he should be coordinating wider fleet movements.

RECOGNITION All crews performed excellently, working well to assist each other and defeat the threat. All COs should be commended for how they battled seamlessly. It is obvious that the above COs all know their ship’s capabilities and their role in the line of battle. Such knowledge led to a successful battle, even without operational direction.

The crew of the U.S.S. Endeavour and the U.S.S. Bark all deserve notable recognition. They carried out their duties well.
