Rumor has it Alina's older sister is arriving around K-7. Perhaps to visit, or check in on her, or maybe it's a coincidence. Either way, Alina seems.. happy or something... sure, why not.

Rumor has it that Captain Thiessen grew his beard back out. He is 50% less babyfaced, but rumor is that also confused several K-7 officers visibly - it took some a moment to recognize him during daily interactions.

Rumor has it that with almost 80% of the ballots counted, T'Rhiu Jarok holds a 1% lead over current Senator Zdef. While Zdef has yet to concede the election, many are surprised at how close the election has been. Given Senator Zdef's former ties Empire and alleged involvement in organized crime, many pundits are beginning to speculate that Zdef had long ago conceded the race in order to gain support through some backroom dealing so that he can launch his campaign for Vice-proconsul in the near future.

Rumour has it that Captain Bishop was seen leaving the so far unoccupied Executive Officer's quarters on the Endeavour, looking rather flustered. His shirt had what looked like a large tea stain and the top two buttons were undone.

Rumour has it that since the MacAlpine was taken to dry dock for further repairs, Fiona has been spending an increased amount of time in the Valley Forges medbay where her daughter remains in a coma.

Rumor has it that Counselor Sedai has been spending an unusual amount of time spreaking to various K-7 facilities and engineering personnel about the benefits of reserving a holodeck full time to run the annual winter holidays holoprogram. Though reception to the idea has been lukewarm at best, she has -- perhaps a bit uncharacteristically -- not yet given up.

Rumor has it when picking up his daughter from a childcare service on K-7 Rear Admiral Konieczko had a stuffed huskey toy with him. It seemed perfectly normal but at the right angle one of the dog's eyes looked like a lens.

Rumor has it Commander Pecius of the R.R.W. Caratacus has apparently been contacted by extended family on his Father's side. The scuttlebutt is especially loud because he never had a chance to meet his father, as he died in the Hobus disaster after smuggling Pecius' pregnant mother off world, and this relative is supposedly his father's twin sister. The flamboyant captain has been rather tight lipped about his sudden Aunt, but has expressed he "understands some of where he gets it now."

Rumor has it, on the tree set up in the K-7 lounge after everyone had left, someone sneaked in and hung up a pickle on the tree? Legend also tells the first person to find it would be said to have a year of good fortune...

Rumor has it that a corner alcove of the main K-7 mess hall has been decorated for the holidays.
According to hearsay, the gifts under the tree are a stockpile of donated presents that will eventually be sent to the children and families who have lost loved ones in the recent tragedy.
On the opposite side of the alcove, a somewhat worn upright piano sits, also decorated with strings of rainbow holiday lights, a wreath, and electric candles. A sign hanging on the piano reads: "Holiday carols every Thursday, two hours into gamma."
Behind the tree on the table sits an open box, filled with cartons of ornaments of all shapes and sizes, inviting anyone who's interested to add to the tree's already very eclectic decoration.
But some have already added their own custom ornaments from who knows where.

Shan opens the box, retrieving a small, highly detailed model of an Avenger class starship.

Shan adjusts the ship until it is just right on the tree. He presses the top and a mechanical voice: "Fortune favors the Bold."

Rumor has it that on the wall opposite the Christmas Tree, in the decorated alcove, a soft-cloth Christmas Tree was secured to the wall this morning by Captain Thiessen.

Rumor has it that after the candy from the advent calendar was 'misplaced', Tau's refilled it once more. However, an additional bowl has appeared at the bar in K-7's lounge, filled with candy itself...perhaps as a lure. It sure is a lot easier to take!
