Rumor has it... (IC)

Rumor has it that DaiMon Dolani Kela, unseen since the destruction of DS13, arrived on K7, left in quick fashion and quickly returned once more with several Ferengi and a Bajoran, loaded down with gifts. The pile under the tree continues to grow. The gifts listed to be "Courtesy of Dependable Private Services" all, under the Ferengi-stamped gold paper, seem to be eerily similar in shape and carding to Marauder Mo figures...

Rumors has it some movements were seen around two shuttle of the USS Melqart docked in D13. One, commanded by the First Officer with a follow of three security officers, was seen loading two wooden boxes. The second one, of the captain, was seen load one single box. The captain was giggling about that. No one knows the contents of the three boxes, no one knows what exactly is happening on the Melqart. Some people suspect a smuggling of weapons and bottles of liquor. Others, a bit better informed, said that it is all part of a game between the captain and his first officer.

The word through the constant grumbling of the Steward, is that a very large Christmas tree has been placed in the corner of the lounge on the Endeavour. A large Menorah has also been placed on the opposite side.

"All religious holidays should be banned!" grumbles the Steward, as he gets janitors to brush away the pine needles on the floor, and to keep the Menorah polished and buff.

The tensions on the Endeavour have all but gone, though there's a lingering suspicion as to who supported Vilik's mutiny...

Rumor from the Victory crew is Captain Quint seems to be more his old self. While he still seems to be burying himself in work, he is often seen having a good time and laughing again. Maybe time does mend wounds?

Because of the low Human population on the Akagi, there has been no official celebration hosted. However, many of the crew are preparing for the New Year's Day celebration to mark the Akagi's Ninth year in service..

Rumors has it that on board the Melqart something was celebrated for the 25th of December. It was a strange mix of festivities, but seemed that everybody had the right amount of fun. Voices suggest that, maybe, some superior officers had maybe too much fun.

Rumor has it that Christmas on the USS Kassandra was celebrated as per the years before however a small contingent of staff interrupted celebrations to head over to the USS Axiom and present get-well wishes to the comatose Captain, including an impromptu singing of a Christmas song next to the biobed.

Rumor has it that given the medical state of their friend Captain Derix, Captains Desimone and Thiessen spent most of the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day aboard the USS Axiom.

Atlantis had skeleton crews in short shifts on both days as part of an attempt to allow the crew some well-deserved downtime. If more rumor is to be believed, there were caroling groups to be heard on both ships - sometimes more enthusiastic than melodic.

Rumors has it some senior officers of the Melqart were seen laughing with their captain about a "Christmas present", a sweater or something like that. Despite not in perfect line with the tastes of the young captain, he appeared to be pleased to have received something.

Rumor has it Captain DePoe lit some sort of incense in the empty mess hall of the Leyte Gulf. Even though it was only lit for a few minutes the smell it produced lingered for several hours afterward, despite several atmosphere cycles of the room...

Rumor also has it Ensign Terik was seen in the phaser range on the Valley Forge, reportedly "trying out some new techniques" to supplement her basic training in phased energy weapons.

Rumour has it that the turn of the year was marked by a customary fireworks salvo on the Endeavour, as well as a long chain of crew singing "Auld Lang Syne". The Endeavour will be operating at low capacity for the rest of the day as crew take a mandatory leave day.

It's said that a very Japanese New Year was celebrated on the Shadowfax (the crew it used to Japan taking over their world by now). The lounge became a festival area, and there was apparently a lot of mochi.

Rumor has it that Lt. H’ajah spent New Year’s Eve in K7’s sickbay, being treated for an impacted wisdom tooth after weeks of denial that anything was wrong. While she was unconscious for the big countdown, she was wearing a conical party hat for the outset of 2418.

Rumour has it that the new year was welcomed with minimum celebration aboard the MacAlpine as repairs continue across it to make it operational again.

Further rumours have it that Captain Skye seems to not be sleeping with her being always around during the repairs, between the time talking to her CMO or spending it next to the comatose Cecilia.
