A-7190 G3 is a star system located near the cross-section between the Alpha-7190 and Kelterre Sectors of the Alpha Quadrant. Its existence was unknown to the Federation, completely uncharted before the U.S.S. Mariner conducted a planetary survey in November of 2423.

Features

A-7190 G3 is a T-Tauri-type star of 1.19118 solar masses, notable for having a habitable M-class planet in its gravity well, an uncommon occurrence.

A-7190 G3 IV

A-7190 G3 IV is a Minshara, or M-class planet, with 74% surface water. The atmosphere is comprised of 59% nitrogen, 30% oxygen, 8% argon, and 2% fluorine and carbon dioxide, with 1% assorted gasses. The planet is not home to any sapient or intelligent life. It has recently experienced an extraplanetary impact by an asteroid or comet.

History

The survey conducted by the Mariner revealed the presence of an invasive cytoplasmic lifeform with bio-mimetic properties that was capable of consuming and replicating various types of flora and fauna, including humanoids. Proximity suggests it was likely deposited on A-7190 G3 IV by the celestial body that recently impacted the planet, though no conclusive evidence linking the two was discovered before the survey team was forced to abandon their efforts.

The lifeform, as of yet unnamed, presents a massive risk to galactic society if it escapes A-7190 G3 IV. Due to the danger present, the planet has been quarantined as of Stardate 100856.9, and is a potential candidate for General Order 24.
