Hey Captain,
Just read your report on the Insect Removal. I did my best to catalogue what I could, but I didn’t get everything… I guess the frequency we used the first time must have been a coincidence.
In any case, if you have a dead insect, I can help do the autopsy to understand the creature better. With my Captain’s permission, I could travel to the U.S.S. Defender to assist.

Greetings Lieutenant,
It also possible the bugs adapted to the frequency so not to worry, joys of interacting with new life forms we are still learning.
Help is always welcome Lieutenant, am glad your Captain can spare you.
Let me know if anything you needs, preparing in advance for your arrival and I will make sure the Defender is prepared, so far we have a science lab set up to study the insects with my Chief Science Officer, Cmdr T’Ran making little head way in this area, am sure she will welcome another set of eyes.
If it is easier on your Captain, I can easily send one of our shuttles to handle transportation.

Hey Captain,
I have an unverified theory for you. As you can see from the attached AARs, we’ve noticed animals avoid the crystalline structure, but for some reason, on the station, the insects are drawn to it and are somewhat sedentary; that’s how we got to the structure the first time round.
Perhaps controlling these insects lies with this structure? Or perhaps the structure is using the insects to protect itself?

Hello Commander,
Having reviewed the documents attached, it is an interesting theory and one that the gathering of the insects on our scanners, suggest we maybe able to use the crystalline structure in some form to help with the removal.
It is a theory that can be tested when a team next heads to the station.
P.S. Congrats on the promotion, a bit late I know but didn’t get a chance to say it at the award ceremony.
