ACADEMY NOTES
Cadet Zaldo attended Starfleet Academy from 2400 to 2404.
Freshman Year: 2400-2401 Tilly begins her coursework, with her focus on Clinical Psychology. She struggles to adjust to the structures of the Academy her first year, finding it difficult to focus, but manages to not fail any of her courses. She also takes courses in a few different disciplines, including operational logistics and basic communication theory. She spends too much time partying and not enough studying, suffering for both. Sophomore Year: 2401-2402 Tilly begins to focus, having been warned that continued aimlessness could find her going home early with little to show for it. She improves, and begins to show real aptitude in her work. She begins learning the tricks of the trade in the field of Counseling Psychology. She takes courses in field medicine and triage, continuing her operations courses as well. She makes friends easily, and seems to enjoy her time with them. She observes one of her friends taking part in the Academy Judo Club, finding herself interested in the form, late in the year. Junior Year: 2402-2403 Tilly spends this year focusing on Xenopsychology, a field that allows her to better understand and interact with the many unique people she encounters. She becomes a certified field medic this year as well, able to provide medical care in emergency situations and assist trained doctors in the field. She spends her free time exploring Earth with her friends when possible. She joins the Judo Club herself, something she will continue for years. Senior Year: 2403-2404 Tilly completes her Psychology coursework, focusing on Industrial-Organizational Psychology the final year. She becomes a licensed Psychologist, and certified Starfleet Counselor. She earns the rank of Gokyū in Judo. Before leaving Earth to be stationed at Starbase K-7 for the next decade, she spends two weeks in Fiji. She is a squared away Ensign by the time she leaves the Academy, devoted to the Starfleet ideal. |
BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Born in the City 14 section of Detak, Eledri Prime, the eldest child of a civil defense officer and an instructor at Detak's Music Institute. Zaldo left home after reaching the Eledri age of adulthood (15), and took a job as an entertainer on the Ferengi gaming vessel Vinkling, signing a two year contract. Once concluded, Zaldo moved on to the civilian passenger transport S.S. Mayflower.
Zaldo applied twice to admittance for Starfleet Academy, accepted on the second attempt. After Graduation, Ensign Zaldo was posted to DS K-7, assuming a role in the Counselling department, remaining there during the bulk of the Klingon War. LTJG Zaldo was awarded the Silver Star for her role in several dangerous missions to the front lines to give aid to those suffering acute mental health trauma, volunteering to do so over half a dozen times in 2408 alone. Lieutenant Zaldo rose through the ranks of the Counselling department to become the Assistant Chief, and Commander Wildman's choice for her personal counselor.
During this time Zaldo's father, who had owned his own shipping business since Mathilda's early childhood, was killed along with many of his freighter crew while working a route between Eledri Prime and the areas near the Klingon border. It is suspected that the ship was boarded by Nausicaan raiders, who killed the crew and emptied the cargobay.
After a decade on DS K-7, Zaldo was transferred to DS13, where she continued her role in the Counselling department. Occasionally Zaldo was assigned to away missions due to her qualification as a field medic. In late 2414, Zaldo was given a temporary assignment to the U.S.S. White Hawk, as a mission specialist and Operations officer. She also took temporary command of the U.S.S. Atlantis from CAPT Altais, when the Captain decided to beam to the surface of Doza IV for ground recon. Soon after she was offered and accepted a permanent position as Chief of Operations on the U.S.S. Paladin, and promoted to Lieutenant Commander. |
During this time, Zaldo's mother was appointed as the Arts Minister of the Eledri Unity, and not long after, her brother was reassigned as the lead aide to the Eledri Councilor to the Federation by the Diplomatic Corps. The first time in almost a century that a Zaldo held any political status among the Eledri.
Not long after her move to Operations Chief on the Paladin, Zaldo's career seemed to move forward in it's new direction and within a year she was offered two new opportunities, First as the Operations Chief of the U.S.S. Oakham, and Odyssey Class starship under the command of Captain Altais, which allowed her to lead a larger department with more personnel. It wasn't long after that Zaldo applied to Command School, where she continued to take instruction on the finer points of command, moving closer towards her professional goals. As the 38th Fleet's mission expanded to include the Kelterre Doza sectors, and the mysteries and dangers within, Zaldo transferred to the U.S.S. Myanmar as Executive Officer of the Avenger Class starship, and then Acting Captain, where she temporarily took command. |
After her assignment on Myanmar came to an end, Zaldo earned promotion to the rank of Commander, and was reassigned to the 38th Fleet's Office of Public Affairs. Her job was to address the duty of the fleet to the news media, promoting the ideals of Starfleet and making sure there is an honest accounting to the public. It seemed to be a duty she took to quickly, and showed promise at. Meanwhile, her personal life also hit a milestone when she was married to Dmitri Konieczko, Captain of the U.S.S. Vanguard and 38th Fleet's Taurus Squadron Leader.
After reevaluating her career choices, and seeing the direction her life was headed in, Mathilda Konieczko decided that she would best serve Starfleet in the field of her original training, as a psychologist and mental healthcare professional, assigned to Deep Space Thirteen's Counseling department. The move came with a reduction in rank to Lieutenant Commander, but was worth it to her. She continues to help those in need, however she can. Not long after her return to the department, she was selected to lead it as Chief Counselor, after the promotion and reassignment of Captain Ezzem Isohlah.

SUMMARY
Since her last exam, Lieutenant Commander Zaldo sustained a hairline fracture in the left tarsal equivalency while on leave on the planet Risa. She was properly treated at the time and has suffered no lasting injury. Per Starfleet orders, LCDR Zaldo is still on the correct dosage of the pheromone inhibitor to counter the Eledri Effect. LCDR Zaldo is rated capable of active duty without reservation at this time. |
SUPPLEMENTAL
On 93833.3, Lieutenant Commander Konieczko was examined, and tests were given to her that confirm that she has become pregnant. The scans verify that the blastocyst is within its fourth week of development, show nominal results consistent with Eledri/Human genetic cross-fertilization, with successful implantation into the uterine wall. As Chief Medical Officer of this vessel, I recommend that Counselor Konieczko's primary prenatal care be provided by a specialist aboard Deep Space Thirteen, to assure continuity of scheduled examinations. Konieczko remains cleared for active duty at this time, and has been provided information concerning her new condition. SAAVET |
MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT
Up to Date: Y Status: OK for active duty Evaluator: Sedai, Katriel Eden Authority: Psychological Counselor, Deep Space 13 Subject: Zaldo, Mathilda Stardate: 91698.3 Length of Interview: 1.5 hrs SUMMARY OF FINDINGS The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview. During interview, authority observed the subject to be fairly plainspoken, in possession of a malleable attitude that allows her to be professional and earnest in equal measure. Subject's countenance never hinted at duplicity and she appears highly adaptable, intuitively observing how her surroundings are moving and integrating seamlessly into them, social or otherwise. Subject is a competent conversationalist and quite unafraid of new situations or scenarios, which speaks to her abundant confidence and lack of self-consciousness. Subject is very much at home in her selected profession and, like others in the same department, trends positive on her outlook on other people and their motivations. Seemingly counter to this, however, is a streak of independence and self-sufficiency that prevents her from simply unburdening herself on just anyone else. Subject seems particularly interested in novel experiences, but maintains enough discipline to stay realistically cautious. ((The full, attached report goes on for another 8 pages.)) |
