A new site's been circulating around the station the past few days, called RateMyCaptains.subnet. The site provides a partial listing of Starfleet Commanding Officers along with ratings from various other officers who have worked with them or served with them.

Ratings are semi-anonymous, with only an alias username required. Ratings are made on a scale, 1 - 4 (Poor | Average | Good | Awesome) in two categories, and also provides an optional ability to leave a written comment/review. The system automatically averages ratings for each Captain, as well as allows other users to view individual ratings and comments. Unfortunately, moderation of reviews appears extremely lax and there's virtually no validation of users who want to leave ratings.

Comments: Sivath is an acquired taste, or so I'm told. Personally, I did not acquire it. He's good at managing the logistics but bad at managing the people; you get the impression that if he could replace us all with robots, he'd do it in a heartbeat (assuming he has one of those).

Comments: The Captain has always been accommodating and friendly while still upholding the standards of Starfleet. She has not, in my experience, put her crew in harm's way unnecessarily. I do not think I could ask for a better assignment. I hope to be here for some time.

Comments: Captain Thiessen is an exceptional commander. He has demonstrated a capacious knowledge of starbase operations and a willingness to consider alternative views which encourages critical interventions by his staff without being so lax as to result in unprofessional or inefficient modes of conduct. The only thing he lacks is a much-warranted promotion.

Comments: Admiral Perim is justly renowned within and without the 38th Fleet for her record of exceptional leadership. It was largely due to her capable leadership that the fallout from the desertion of Admiral Ashkeph was minimised and contained. Although her presence in the fleet is of incomparable value, one cannot help but feel that she is deserving of significantly more authority, ideally at the highest levels of Starfleet Command.

n.b. 'Awesome' is hardly professional evaluative terminology. Surely 'Excellent' would be better terminology. Even if this is meant to be used as a 'back-up plan', it should still be thoughtfully developed.

Comments: Approachable and yet is capable of getting things accomplished. Having worked with the Admiral for a number of years, I feel confident saying that his experience and leadership, combined with his calm and professional personality make for an excellent executive officer for the fleet.
