Captain,

You are required to equip your squadrons with sensor-disrupting equipment and then make your way to the Sarita staging area. From here, you will make a regular patrol route which will take you through the following sectors: Argrama, Vendor, Rator. You will not visit any occupied and inhabited systems, nor will you engage any Empire forces. You will deploy your air squadrons to the indicated areas which will create an effective sensor screen.

Detailed orders are attached. Information to be disseminated on a need-to-know basis only, as needed for the success of the mission.

Orders are effective immediately.

Regards,

LCDR Flynn,

You are to immediately replicate and attach disposable mine dispensers to the fighters of VFA 123, VFA 188, and VFA 201. These dispensers are to be loaded with sensor jamming probes, to be deployed from the dispensers themselves. The dispensers are to be made to detach from the fighter when depleted.

CAPT Maxon,

VFA 123, VFA 188, VFA 201 and VAQ 140 are to be tasked with deploying sensor jamming probes in the most transited pathways in these sectors, without entering any populated systems. Relay to your pilots that no offensive action is to be taken, and defensive actions should consist of immediate retreat and RTB Forrestal. Cycle your pilots accordingly, this assignment will proceed through all shift cycles until complete.

LT Drush,

You are to work with Captain Maxon in coordinating the most efficient flight rotation to complete this mission. I am looking for as little downtime as possible in regards to getting fighters launched, recovered, and re-equipped if need be. Keep appropriate resources on standby to protect Forrestal should the need arise.

Note: The attached orders are classified as “For Your Eyes Only”. Pilots will only be given information as to the nature of their specific mission, nothing further.

Captain,

Please forward the exact coordinates of the engagement to my office immediately, along with all sensor and battle data.

Your squadron should have retreated as soon as the enemy was spotted. This operation is part of a wider coordinated effort that rests on a knife’s edge. The failure of a warbird to report in would have raised alarms in the Empire war department and might lead to a change of deployment, rendering valuable intelligence useless. Intelligence that we must now try to get again.

My orders were very clear. They were clear for a reason.

I am sending additional areas you now have to cover. Do not engage any hostile forces.

Admiral,

Included you will find the sensor data, in flight recorder, and SWACS data from Runabout Devraux which was monitoring the deployments. Initial review of the data showed that Element Three from VFA 188 was ambushed by a cloaked Mogai during their deployment, and reacted immediately by retreating to the edge of the operational zone. The four Valkyries deployed came under immediate fire during the engagement and did not return fire as per orders given. Their attempt to escape and evade was well within the guidelines given by myself and CAPT Maxon (10th CAW CO), and the collision with the Mogai and the comet was a once in a life time fluke. Also, during the engagement, Runabout Devraux did not monitor any communications being sent from the Warbird to suggest they were engaging the Valkyries.

As of the writing of this reply, VFA 188 Element Three has been grounded, to include LT. Yanak, LTJG Ner’dra, LTJG Donaldson, and LTJG Alvarez. Their flight status suspension is pending review by your office, and will remain in effect until told otherwise.

We have changed course, and deployed elements from VAQ 140 (electronic warfare squadron), to cover the new locations you have included.

Captain,

The siege at Sienae has shown that the Imperial Navy is using Q-Ships to supply forces and lure enemies in.

Intelligence reports a base for Q-Ships in the Agrama Sector, which usually supplies the Agrama System. Usually, an assault on such a base would be difficult due to it being behind enemy lines. However, if the disruption laid down by your craft is sufficient, you will be able to launch a calculated strike against this base without notifying the enemy immediately.

You are tasked with destroying this base, urgently. If you are quick, you will take out both the base and any support ships in the area, greatly hampering Imperial supply to the Agrama System.
