SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

At this time, authority would like to recognize the subject's extended and fairly well documented psychological record, with all troubles and successes therein. This assessment will generally remain on the current time period, rather than delve into previously recorded issues. For the most part, subject appears to be respectably lucid and matter-of-fact regarding herself and her history. Subject does continue to feel an underlying need to prove herself and her abilities to others, especially in terms of her career, and positions herself and those associated under her command as effective underdogs.

This is directly contrasted by her extremely positive personal perspective on other people, she professes to believing the best of others in general. More internally, her world view is moderately optimistic and she maintains a healthy sense of self-confidence, lacking inhibitions in speaking her mind and of her issues. Subject values collectedness and keeping a level head through disasters. Authority acknowledges the subject's feeling that previous therapy has helped her getting a better handle on her emotions and feels generally confident that the subject will continue to maintain emotional balance going forward, despite her checkered history.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date.

At this time, the authority acknowledges the subject’s history, as recorded officially, to be categorized as high-risk trauma, especially as pertaining to events during the subject’s ages thirteen through fifteen. Subject’s medical history and record already includes extensive debriefing regarding this history and authority currently has very little to add in terms of the subject’s acknowledgement of these events.

Authority’s report will focus on the subject’s current state of mind, which authority finds to be somewhat singular. Despite difficult personal history and emotionally-charged motivations for enlisting in Starfleet, subject appears to have largely matured and evidenced a fairly level-headed approach to his work and personal life. Subject possesses something of a blunt or dry manner and seems to be, not exactly apathetic, but unconcerned by what others might perceive of him and his speech. Subject also demonstrated a droll sense of humor and was perfectly at ease with making mildly intimate overtures in social situations.

As subject is successfully pursuing healthy social relationships with others, authority would like to cautiously conclude that the subject appears to have acclimated satisfactorily to his adult life and professional career.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Authority's impressions of the subject at this time primarily consist of his courteous and somewhat solicitous demeanor. Subject is capable of moving easily from one feeling to the next, suggesting a general emotional fortitude that permits him to cope with more negative emotions. Authority understands that the subject has historically struggled to some degree to coalesce the more openly expressive structure of his species' communication habits with the more reserved attitude of the professional Starfleet environment. Mirroring this conflict is the subject profession to being largely guided by his instincts, though still willing to defer to Starfleet protocol when conflicts arise.

The authority applauds the subject's ability to press himself to be honest and open about what he is feeling: a habit that, in the authority's opinion, takes a great deal of courage to follow through with and is possessed by too few officers. Authority acknowledges that the subject has recently left a posting in which he was fully socially acclimated and comfortable, so his current feelings of anxiety in a new environment are to be expected and completely natural. Authority has no concerns at this time that subject may not be able to adapt to life on starbase.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

The subject possesses a largely open and cooperative demeanor, able and willing to speak of himself and his history without any hestitation. The authority noted that the subject has a strong conviction in the main tenets of the Federation, which leads the subject to feel a clear sense of responsibility to uphold these values through both word and deed. Subject also subscribes to the necessity of hands-on experience to gain true understanding of the rigors of command and prefers to afford his closest officers a fair amount of freedom in their work as a result.

During interview, the authority was somewhat surprised to hear the subject express a singular opinion on the realities of remorse for commanders. At this time, the authority is choosing not to register any alarm from these comments and instead would prefer to state that the subject appears to possess an unusual clarity in respect to the actualities of a command officer’s line of work. Likewise, subject appears to have his own personal regimen for dealing with the stresses of his station, suggesting a healthy interest in his own emotional well-being.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her most recent psychological debriefing. Authority affirms that the likelihood of subject sustaining long-term trauma from inciting incident B273 is very low to completely absent.

At this juncture, authority would register the fact that she was able to observe the subject while on diplomatic assignment. Even at the time, authority was impressed by the subject's steadfast focus when the mission parameters altered drastically. Subject kept discipline, did not waste time or energy on hysterics, and performed her function admirably.

During the psych debrief, subject confirmed that she felt no fear or terror, despite a complete lack of previous exposure to life-threatening scenarios. Subject initially appeared a little disturbed by this examination of herself, but seemed persuaded by authority's reassurance that the reaction should be considered normal by most sentient standards. Ultimately, authority remains unconcerned and feels that the subject is sufficiently level-headed and introspective enough to be aware of her mental state.

On assessment of the subject's state besides, authority recognizes the subject's positive work ethic and her particular respect for others who share it, even in non-organics. Subject dislikes individuals who appear abrasive and callous, but is professional enough to tolerate said individuals until she has acclimated to their particular ways. If authority would be concerned about anything, it would be the subject's willingness to ignore minor health pains when the inconvenience of seeing to them appears too great, but authority admits that this is nitpicky at best.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date.

Authority acknowledges the lengthy career record of the subject and advises that it largely speaks for itself. Subject himself professes a disinclination for “following orders” and has demonstrated a willingness to disregard instructions in favor of actions with a more immediate and obviously favorable impact. As a result, subject would be more suited to a posting that takes this quality into account.

Authority did also delve into subject’s emotional history, specifically regarding his deceased spouse, passing approximately 9.5 years ago. Subject continues to suffer minor antagonistic emotion towards the perceived cause of spouse’s death, but largely appears to have come to terms with his loss. Authority considers it to be a positive sign that the subject is openly willing to discuss his history, though the openness is primarily verbal and generally does not surface visually on the subject’s countenance. The authority also notes that the subject continues to maintain at least some sense of humor in his world outlook.

At this time, authority’s primary concern would be in seeing the subject appropriately posted and socializing with other officers.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

During interview, subject was in clear possession of herself and rarely seemed surprised or otherwise caught unawares, a trait that authority believes the subject carries with her everywhere and in every circumstance. Subject values steadfast drive and focus, remaining on task despite distractions and taking responsibility when the situation calls for it. Subject will likewise look on to take more responsibility in situations where she feels like she may otherwise be stagnating.

Subject does have some unmentioned dislike for Klingon culture or philosophy, which authority suspects is related to their general behavioral excess. Whether there is something more personal at stake, authority is uncertain. Topic may be worth future revisitation if opportunity arises. Subject is also on rather fractious terms in regards to her 'twin' sibling.

Subject's general world view and perception trends towards slightly unfavorable, but predominately moderate. She remains respectful and interested in other individuals' opinions and has the utmost confidence in herself and her known support structure.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date.

Authority has been able to observe the subject’s affable countenance now on multiple occasions and it continued to be in evidence during this interview. Subject also presented himself as fairly collected and pragmatically candid, providing ready responses even when discussing personal traits. Subject spoke of his predilictions for diplomacy and exploration and while subject is understandably chagrined at having his preferred career path derailed, subject continues to be sufficiently motivated towards supporting Starfleet where he is needed.

The authority briefly engaged the subject on the most recent incidents on record and is pleased to note that despite enduring a recent and fairly extensive deception from a senior crew member, the subject has maintained a full capacity for trust in his fellow officers, going so far as to be notably defensive of them. Subject did demonstrate a more reflective facet of personality where he considers mistaken actions he has committed in his captaincy. As the behavior observed was mild and did not result in the subject’s regret, the authority will not register any concern at this time.

Of final note is the recognition that the subject appears to prefer to surround himself with officers who are unafraid to speak their minds, which suggests that the subject welcomes the opportunity to have his opinion and world view altered and challenged by others.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of continual sound mind and stable emotional bearing. Even without consulting the subject’s professional record, the authority recognizes that the subject is a well-adjusted, self-sufficient officer in possession of a remarkably strong work ethic. Noteworthy is the subject’s almost singular focus on achieving results, mostly in career tasks. Subject seems to maintain just a minimum level of sociability, openly preferring to bypass social niceties in favor of duty.

The authority does wish to register a concern for the subject’s predominant preoccupation with concrete tasks. Authority was unable to definitively confirm whether or not the subject is satisfied with his current life and career trajectory, nor was the authority able to draw out the subject to discuss his motivation for pursuing his chosen career paths. The authority notes that though the subject appears to be perfectly capable of managing himself at present, an ambassadorship is an exceptionally stressful position and tries even the most emotionally balanced sentients. The authority would encourage the subject to regularly allocate time towards serious self-examination in order to forestall potential burnout.

The authority has also recorded the subject’s reluctance to speak on events and relationships in the subject’s adolescence. Due to lack of formal complaint or reprimand, the authority finds it unnecessary to pursue the subject’s emotional history at this time and believes that any psychological profile disparity caused by past events would be well within established parameters of variation.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical Psychological Department finds the subject to be of sound mental health and sufficiently prepared to return to active duty. During interview, subject was asked to recount history of service and maintained an adequately composed emotional state throughout. Subject’s lack of defensiveness when confronted over the decisions he made in increasingly deteriorating circumstances suggests a genuine lack of alternatives at the time in question. Subject also rarely demurred or deflected accusations of reckless leadership or behavior, indicating a willingness to accept responsibility and any formal reprimands.

It is the counseling department’s opinion that subject has made peace with his past and is therefore capable of rendering valuable service to Starfleet.

SUGGESTED ACTIONS
  • Subject may be reinstated immediately to active duty in any capacity other than starship command.
  • Subject should not be assigned to deep space or exploration missions, to reduce the subject’s opportunities for encountering space object M-2588 (aka “Nexus Energy Ribbon”).
  • Until further notice, subject’s commanding officer will be required to complete Form PR-36-021D on a monthly basis to report on subject’s performance.
  • Pending a positive service record of at least six months, subject may be considered for starship command opportunities under condition of accepting an authorized counselor on staff.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

At this time, authority would like to register the subject's Joined state. As authority has had a fair amount of experience interacting with a variety of Joined Trill in particular, authority notes that this particular pairing has appeared to strongly favor the symbiont and host memories have been seamlessly integrated into the symbiont's experience of a 'single lifetime'. Subject continues to be interested in new life experiences and actively pursues avenues that will garner these for her. The novelty of the untried seems to be a repeated motif as subject attributes great value to new approaches and strategies in even her combat philosophies.

During interview, authority observed the subject in a primarily staid state, though not wholly immune to self-expression. Subject's worldview and outlook trends towards a generally cautious optimism towards external factors and an assured positivity when it comes to herself. Similarly, subject maintains a clear confidence in her associations with those she knows best, but has reservations that she would be likewise accepted by the majority.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

During interview, the authority found the subject to be generally cordial and deferential. Subject’s mannerisms were fairly formal, for the most part, but he remained willing to speak of himself and difficult incidents that have occurred in his career history. Though subject evidenced understandable regret during these recollections, he remained calm and managed his emotions well, so authority has no concerns at this time.

Subject demonstrated a strong streak of pride for his duty in Starfleet, as well as his more recent affiliation with the Task Force. Authority posits that this quality translates directly into his strong work ethic and obeisance to procedure, which seems to win him friends and allies at all his previous postings.

Authority would like to register some minor alarm at this time regarding the subject’s current posting, which puts him primarily in territory where he is likely to encounter races for which he holds a clear distaste, stemming primarily from an unjustifiable guilt regarding his father’s passing. As the subject has demonstrated nothing but professionalism thus far, authority is reluctant to demand anything more than informal scrutiny.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her official transfer date.

At this time, the authority wishes to register that the following evaluation should be considered potentially unreliable. As the subject expressed an open disdain of Starfleet’s psychological counseling establishment, authority believes this attitude compromises the integrity of any data that is gathered by the authority at this time.

The authority observes that the subject possesses a distinctly commandeering personality, seemingly used to setting her own rules. Subject is very detail-oriented and regularly takes interest in things that would not be of concern to others, and is capable of a high degree of creative thinking. Authority also notes that the subject describes herself as “eccentric” with a certain degree of pride, indicating a value on individuality that highly motivates the subject to innovate new methods for interacting with her officers.

The authority did find the subject’s self-assured and assumptive behavior to be extremely trying at times. Her conversation on many topics could easily be subjectively believed to be self-superior and condescending, and authority believes that officers who are unused to the subject’s manner may feasably take offense. Authority also finds it possible that the subject’s extremely speculative logic might be dangerous if utilized in a life-threatening situation. As the subject has nothing but commendations in her record, authority can only assume that the subject has thus far always appropriately waited to found her speculation with hard evidence before acting.

Due to skepticism in ability to obtain reliable data, the authority declined to take measures to establish how the subject copes with loss of life under her command.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

The subject presented himself as a cooperative and relatively grounded personality. During the duration of the interview, authority observed the subject to be a generally well-balanced individual, able to both take pride in his past achievements while not ignoring the seriousness of his mistakes. Subject is keenly aware of the responsibility that comes with his first solo command and appears prepared to prove himself, but not recklessly so.

The authority also recognizes that the subject is able to address his own fallibility, sometimes even with a sense of levity, and recognize what mistakes were made, then move on without ceremony. The authority notes that many officers often lack this critical skill, dwelling overmuch on their mishaps and greatly jeopardizing their ability to make decisions that affect the present. Admittedly the subject has not been seriously tried to date, but authority believes that the subject has the capacity to maintain his realistic self-reflection in the face of more difficult times.

Also noteworthy was the subject’s open trust in his fellow officers, even those he did not know well. Authority believes this may allow the subject to draw out the best in his crew, as they scramble to meet his expectations.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject’s demeanor is pleasantly open and friendly, with a curious streak that some individuals are likely to consider as being too forward. Subject possesses an extremely expressive manner and was clearly unafraid of allowing others to see visible proof of what she is feeling or thinking at the time. Additionally, the subject seemed keen to accommodate and alleviate potential discomfort in her interaction with others, suggesting a basic selflessness and a constant awareness of the attitudes of those around her, likely aided by the subject’s telepathic and empathic capabilities. Authority also notes the subject’s strong relationship with her closest officers, allowing her to seek their opinion as often as she remembers to.

Authority acknowledges that the subject has a complex history, most notable of which would be the effective decimation of the subject’s home world and race by the Borg Collective. When confronted on the reality of the subject’s racial extinction, subject maintained a practical outlook that was neither despairing, nor overly optimistic. Authority hypothesizes that the subject race’s longevity may have something to do with the subject’s measured attitude.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Authority was able to observe the subject briefly in his dealings with a fellow officer and found him to be generally candid and direct. Likewise was his attitude when speaking to the authority and though the authority found the subject’s responses to be somewhat expeditious in their delivery, he was not what the authority would consider to be uncivil.

During interview, the subject seemed fairly untroubled and was perfectly accomodating in discussing his work and personal ambitions. Subject has a particular preference for approaching problems with a proactive methodology, rather than a reactive one, which translates directly into his desire for a more specialized role in the war effort. Subject also has a distinct appreciation for other officers who share his direct manner, which suggests that he is unafraid of confrontation and possesses sufficient self-confidence to stand his ground.

While the subject does have a healthy respect for Starfleet regulation and procedures, he does disdain when they interfere with the lives of Federation citizens and non-citizens alike. Subject dislikes being forced to ‘sit on his hands’, so to speak, and favors being excessively prepared for any given situation.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

During the interview, subject established herself as an exceptionally grounded and level-headed individual. In some ways, authority recognizes that the subject’s selfless attitude and willingness to adapt and prioritize results perfectly embodies some of Starfleet’s most vaunted principles. In general, the authority believes that the subject has the requisite mental fortitude to deal with all but the most traumatic shocks.

At this time, the authority does feel it necessary to register some concern that the subject is neglecting her own self-fulfillment in favor of duty. While subject does appear to derive genuine enjoyment from continual work and academic study, the authority does not feel the subject is willing or interested in maintaining a healthy balance between work and leisure activity. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

At this time, the authority wishes to register that the following evaluation should be considered potentially unreliable. While the authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed, authority regrets that she did not have the opportunity to apply more effective measures to determine whether the subject is genuinely suited to a career in this task force.

During interview, the authority found subject to be a highly energetic and somewhat intense individual. Though subject appeared to initially regard authority as somewhat antagonistic, the authority would prefer to assume that the reaction stems from the subject’s very great desire to be posted as soon as possible, in order to begin contributing to the war effort in a meaningful way. Authority notes that this was a repeated theme throughout and it’s fairly clear that the subject dislikes being sidelined. The authority does commend the subject’s willingness to recognize that he and others are all unique, with individually strange mannerisms.

Beyond these points, the authority would like to exercise caution. While the authority generally does prefer when subjects to direct their own interviews, in this particular instance, the authority did feel as though the subject was specifically directing the conversation away from anything potentially meaningful. Authority observes that the subject’s mannerisms are somewhat theatrical in nature and that the subject was not above demonstrating minor bouts of incompetency, leading the authority to be uncertain about how much of it may be a front.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date.

At this time, the authority acknowledges and affirms that the subject has not yet fully recovered from his assimilation into the Borg Collective. While subject was exceedingly cooperative and polite, he exhibited a certain detachment with the proceedings and seemed fairly impassive for most of the interview. The authority finds it unlikely that the subject would currently possess the social skills necessary for the establishment of working confidence with fellow officers, therefore the authority recommends against assigning the subject to any potentially physically-hazardous duties until further notice. Authority also advises against placing the subject in any supervisory role.

Despite his difficult position, the subject has expressed an interest in accelerating his integration into society. Therefore the authority would also like to implement a social rehabilitation regimen for the subject. Authority will follow up with the subject’s supervising officer immediately to schedule regular activities for the subject in the starbase hologrid. As the hologrid is currently the host of many physical training simulations on a regular basis, authority believes this will create substantial opportunity for the subject to develop his professional interaction abilities. The authority will also require that subject attend extracurricular activities, either those that interest him or a random sampling if none do, as a method for inspiring increased casual social interaction.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Authority observed that the subject seemed particularly at ease, with an offhand and uncomplicated manner. Authority noticed no evidence of the subject being self-conscious, able and willing to express his amusement on various matters and keen on proceeding, despite technically being under evaluation. Subject likewise appears to possess a general self-assurance and appears to be very comfortable with who he is and what he does and exhibits a contentment with the state of his social support network.

Subject did have some minor difficulties with recounting more recent traumatic events, though not to any degree that would cause the authority concern. More surprising is his seeming complete lack of disappointment in being disqualified for Trill Joining, citing his faith and certainty that things have unfolded just as they are meant to have, which again references a satisfaction with his current self and circumstances. Subject trends towards having a fairly balanced or otherwise neutral world outlook, neither being particularly positive nor negative, though he reserves a classical respect for values of bravery and honor in others.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical Psychological Department finds the subject to be of generally sound mind, but overwhelmingly lacking in cardinal moral foundations. During interview, the subject provided an impassive recounting of various relevant events and evidenced no remorse or guilt over the crimes committed. Subject possesses a severe megalomaniac streak and seems to believe said crimes were justified due to insults to vanity or personal possession. The subject has a strong desire to be feared by others and willingly cultivates her image according to what she believes will inspire it, suggesting an irreparable obsession with control and power over the actions of others. A more minor compulsion for wealth and luxury was also observed.

The authority believes that, due to the subject’s exhibition of formidable self-esteem, the possibility of reform is extremely remote.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date.

At this time, the authority would like to formally recognize that the cognitive development stages of the subject’s species continue to be something of a mystery and not at all well-documented. While the authority is comfortable with evaluating the subject like any other sentient, authority is cognizant of the fact that the subject cannot be expected to internalize all of the particulars of humanoid interaction in the relatively few years in which he has existed with higher-level brain function.

During interview, authority observed the subject to be, for the most part, very civil and fairly placid, with periodic exception: the subject possesses an excitable streak for those ambitions that appear to define him with a single-minded intensity. The authority finds this passion to be refreshingly curious to witness, perhaps comparable to that of youth recently indoctrinated into a new belief, which correlates to the previous observation that the subject is still relatively young in terms of cognition. Furthermore, the authority finds the subject’s personal ambitions to be extremely laudable, in his desire to expand his personal world view and to enable other sentients to do the same.

The authority does feel that the subject’s inexperience in dealing with a wider variety of sentients thus far will initially mark him for more experiences in disappointment rather than success. Authority is reasonably confident, though not certain, that the subject has the wherewithal to persevere despite this in his personal quest to better understand how to relate to other sentients.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject seems to be largely professional in attitude, presenting a well-mannered and almost mellow countenance in regards to inquiries, but still easily moved to demonstrating emotion, either exasperation or amusement. During interview, authority observed that the subject has a commendable level dedication to the smooth operations of her command and the well-being of her crew. This in of itself is not an unusual trait among commanding officers, of course, but subject in particular seems to be defined by it. To some degree, authority speculates that the subject has internalized her commanding role to be less about her authority to make decisions and more about her responsibility to safeguard her charges.

Subject's view on external forces trends chiefly positive, allowing her to remain strongly optimistic through the vast majority of circumstances and largely unsuspicious of others, even willing to openly indulge in curiousity about them. Subject maintains a strong sense of self-assurance and is confident in her emotional support structure, but remains interested in the opinions and viewpoints voiced by the peers around her.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

First portion of interview covered the subject’s background with moderate depth. Subject self-acknowledges a history with depression and social anxiety, due to an early traumatic incident. Subject now seems to possess a very sober disposition towards those early events and the recollection of them, exhibiting a certain level of detachment rather than full acceptance of her old losses. Authority recognizes the subject’s relentless sense of endurance and fortitude that exists as a result of constantly having to war with her own psychological issues and lauds the subject’s ability to continue facing the world with decorum.

Subject trends moderately positive on her outlook on the universe and on others’ motivations, capable of cultivating and sustaining her own opinion while being willing to listen to those around her. Subject prefers to adapt to issues as they arise, which bodes well for her career ambitions in command. Despite her rather ruthless self-assessment of ineptitude in certain subject matters, she maintains a safe level of self-assuredness and a confidence in her external emotional support network.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject appears to suffer from a mild anxiety of evaluations, which persisted through at least the halfway point and never dissipated entirely, until the interview was basically concluded. When queried, the subject professed a discomfort with telepaths, so authority may suggest that future counseling assignations take this into account.

Authority also noted the subject to have a fairly moderated presence, tempered and self-effacing, which authority notes is something of a striking contrast from the usual brashness that often afflicts starship commanders. As a somewhat recently promoted and largely untried commander, subject approaches his responsibility as Captain with the appropriate gravitas. As a result, at this time, the authority registers some concern in that subject may have some initial difficulty coping when assignments go wrong.

However, authority was also able to observe that the subject is not entirely devoid of temerity and appears to be capable of laughing at himself when the situation calls for it, so authority suspects the subject may have the requisite attitude to endure.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject presented a pleasant demeanor during interview, neither too forward nor overly restrained. On occasion the subject was at ease enough to smile, but largely she remained focused on answering the authority's questions, keeping her responses casually conversational. Subject appears to have a more even temperament, moderating her responses with careful thought and never permitting emotion to be the primary motivator, save for a few exceptions.

Subject's family history contains several Starfleet-careered officers, thus the subject has a clear affinity for her work and finds particular satisfaction when she's able to put her skills towards defending those who need it most. Subject's outlook on other beings generally trends towards positive, though tempered by realism, and she admits to having some trouble being able to decompress. Combined with the subject's self-assessment of how her tour of duty in Beta Ursae has affected her, the authority recognizes that the subject's self-awareness level seems to be reasonably high.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Authority's immediate observations of subject are generally concentrated around her exceptionally professional and stoic demeanor. Subject appeared rigid and not at all relaxed. Neither, however, was she skittish or on edge, so authority would prefer to assume that this reserve is natural, even expected, for one of the subject's cultural upbringing. Though subject is not completely innured to emotional reflex, authority assumes that the subject is generally uncomfortable with doing so unless among close friends or family.

The subject's family has an extended history with military achievement, thus the authority assumes that the subject's upbringing has had more than a little reflection of that in ultra-discipline and an unwillingness to show weakness in front of perceived strangers. Subject is extremely private and is not circumspect about the need to stay so, having bluntly requested to change the topic in one instance and studiously deflecting in another.

Despite the lack of direct and open discourse, authority remains assured that the subject has a sincere respect for the Federation and plans to do her best by her work. Authority likewise feels reasonably confident that the subject possesses the necessary resilience to maintain her current course indefinitely.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

During interview, subject was observed to be in possession of a somewhat heedless and slightly myopic attitude. Authority hesitates to call it 'bumbling' as subject did not actually appear to have any physical clumsiness to suggest true clinical absent-mindedness, but authority did feel as though the subject's generally unconcerned mannerisms makes him potentially more likely to take action before thinking through potential consequences. Authority observes that subject is probably afflicted with some mild and manageable obsessive compulsive tendencies, due to subject's demonstrated interest in optimization and customization of his work space and tool set.

Subject's worldview trends towards fairly moderate and neutral, which is intensely contrasted by the subject's strongly positive outlook on himself and his own opinions. Subject's exceptional self-confidence is noteworthy, causing him to rarely seek out the opinions of others. Subject is also opportunistic, continuing the theme of willingness to take prompt action based on perceived value of the decision, rather than long term appraisal.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview, though in accordance with subject's record and self-acknowledged anxieties, continued counseling is recommended.

Authority was gratified to encounter the subject's openly cheerful countenance, subject is clearly not timid about putting at least his more congenial emotions on display. Authority would venture to state that subject has a fairly generous spirit, interested in sharing his gaiety with others and being universally helpful. Authority engaged the subject briefly on his encounters with the Undine, which has caused considerable bereavement. Subject continues to harbor minor PTSD symptoms, which manifest primarily in combat situations, and a pervasive sense of survivor's guilt. Despite all of this, subject continues to obey his own natural proclivity towards socialization, so authority remains hopeful that subject is tracking for recovery.

Subject's externalized world view is fairly neutral to moderately optimistic. He maintains a sufficient confidence in himself and a stronger belief in the strength of his support network of friends and family. Authority believes the subject is eminently thoughtful and forward-thinking, which results in judiciously circumspect approach to most encounters, though perhaps not without at least some maintenance of private barriers.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her official transfer date. While authority did not discern any particular reason for concern at this time, authority notes that subject's personal history possesses some characteristics of a high risk trauma profile. Coupled with the fact that a formal statement of concern was filed on subject's behalf, subject may yet merit further regular evaluation in the future.

Authority generally found the subject to be primarily inscrutable and sometimes laconic in both expression and speech. Though the subject never appeared to be actually reluctant to speak of herself and her history, the authority likewise feels that the subject never desired to volunteer information about herself either, requiring the authority to prompt the subject at every juncture. Authority initially believed this to be due to the subject's indifference to being evaluated, but at this time, authority prefers to posit that the subject's behavior during interview was more transient and not may not be representative of her attitude on average.

As the subject's personal principles include a sincere, though not blind, devotion to Starfleet's values, the subject understandably continues to express sensitivity over actions committed by close family members.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

As typical for subject, authority observed him to possess a fairly straightforward manner, neither too presuming or reticent to discuss issues both professional and personal. Subject is plainspoken and examines his emotions freely, though with some detachment and some downplay. Subject acknowledges that he occasionally suffers from some feelings of alienation, which he generally offsets with music or by deliberately seeking out company from familiar faces.

At this time, authority recognizes with some minor concern that the subject is not hesitant to make radical, sweeping changes to himself, a state that authority would personally generally advise more caution in. Subject's willingness to forge ahead with sweeping lifestyle changes is probably connected to his strong confidence in self and his social support structure. It's possible that this attitude has been developed due to a latent fear of finding this life of his to be unreal, which encourages him to be pro-active with seeking self-improvement.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

Subject has a good grasp of what she enjoys and what she finds fulfilling and while she maintains a strong sense of pride in her work, it's tempered by a genuine respect for the responsibility of command and a likewise sincere acknowledgement of her colleagues who contribute to her own success.

Subject trends neutral to moderately positive in externalized world view. Subject possesses a steady sense of self-confidence and is willing to commit to decisions she feels strongly about waiting for third party input. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

During interview, authority observed that the subject presented a generally pleasant and cooperative demeanor which was somewhat at odds with the internal conflict that subject professes to suffer. Subject self-described very severely, stating that she has difficulty relating to others and hesitates interacting with others due to social anxiety from being ignored or rejected. This critical self-assessment, combined with particular phrasing in her language, certainly seems to indicate a fair degree of low self-esteem issues. What authority finds surprising is the frank admittance and open profession to these traits, which when they exist in others, are usually hallmarks of shame and not so easily confessed. Authority is uncertain if this is a conscious tactic with which the subject attempts to combat the self-doubt, but if it is a functioning tactic for the subject, then the authority is not inclined to disrupt it.

Subject's world view is moderately positive, similar to her opinion on other people and their motivations. Subject also has a strong sense of responsibility, especially towards others, and has demonstrated a keen interest in making others' lives a bit easier. Authority observes that the subject's mannerisms occasionally appear similar to that of one who spends a great deal of time fighting her own psychology, which could be potentially concerning if it's an indicator of not being truly comfortable in her surroundings.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

As of her assessment date, the authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be fit for active duty, with significant reservations. Authority affirms that no debilitating trauma was observed during interview, but would like to register substantial concern about the subject's command suitability.

Subject presented a completely blank and unemotional countenance during interview, with very little to no variance in facial expression or tonal inflection. Though she does seem to possess some mild aspirations, they seem to be rooted in a need to avoid boredom and idleness more than out of any self-fulfillment-oriented motivations. This is further evidenced by the subject's persistence in disabling holodeck safeties for physical training; if she could be properly motivated by means other than a threat to life and limb, this would not be necessary. Subject professes to feeling emotions, but has become exceptionally disassociated from them, and while she claims to have an interest in returning to a more human state, she is not currently pursuing any deliberate courses of action to facilitate such.

Subject remains generally neutral in outlook, as well as deliberately aloof, disinterested in socializing and outright disdaining dependence on others in any form. Though she harbors an instinctive distrust for other beings, she maintains a surprising assumption that people as a group are collectively generally moral.

Authority remains apprehensive about the subject's ongoing personal identity crisis and general lack of optimistic regard. Though the authority admits that such traits are commonplace in a post-assimilated individual and generally take time to overcome, it is the authority's opinion that this recovery should take priority over the subject's return to duty. In consultation with the previous evaluation authority, suggestion will be issued that subject be permitted to return to command with oversight; any warning signs should be acted on promptly and with extreme prejudice.

Lastly, subject's holodeck security access will be revoked globally, to prevent further misuse of Federation holodeck safety settings.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject was uniformly prepared and relaxed for interview, evidencing little to no levels of anxiety, and perfectly content to use informal, casual language. Authority notes that subject is currently working outside of his original field of expertise, though subject professes to recognize the value of his current occupation and is unconcerned that he may lose interest in the long term.

Subject possesses aspirations to improve his leadership skills, concerned that his general amiability permits subordinates to feel just slightly too comfortable with him, resulting in the necessity for the occasionally uncomfortable frank discussion with his subordinates. Subject has a keen interest in assisting others and their professional development, which is consistent with his moderately to strongly positive attitude on others' motivations. Subject retains a healthy level of self-assuredness and is willing to be disappointed on occasion in favor of promoting an optimistic outlook.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Authority was, from the onset, impressed by the subject's confident bearing and earnest manner. Subject appears to be fairly sociable, possesses a relaxed and dry sense of humor and smiles with relative ease. Most significant is the subject's intent focus on the welfare of her crew, in terms of both morale and discipline. Subject demonstrates an understandable pride in her possibly unorthodox methods for keeping crew cohesion high. Subject likewise finds mentoring to be an essential responsibility to fulfill as a commander.

The subject also demonstrated some remarkable observational skills with her provision of a very thorough breakdown of her bridge crew's strengths and weaknesses, a skill that translates marginally to her own self-awareness. Despite the subject's record of never losing officers under her direct command, subject is not unfamiliar with loss, though the authority was not able to address the subject's coping mechanisms directly. It is possible that the subject prefers to not deal with her grief directly, afraid of granting the emotion too much power.

However, authority is currently satisfied that the subject has surrounded herself with officers who would function as a viable support system and is unconcerned at this time.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject demonstrated his relative inexperience at the start of interview with his somewhat anxious manner, but even so, he was casually courteous and provided an attentive energy to offset it. Subject is easily moved to smiling and cheerful speech and is happily directed by his own curiosity when it's appropriate, demonstrating an interest in his speaking partner that makes ensuing conversation easy to sustain. Subject self-assesses, and authority's observations generally agree, that he possesses an easy-going demeanor that allows him to be comfortably compatible with the vast majority of other personality types and though he does not like rigid obstinacy, he is capable of maintaining healthy professional ties with just about anyone.

Subject does also have a fairly significant streak of ambition that motivates him career-wise, though it is buried a bit beneath his personable exterior. His outlook on others and external circumstances is extremely positive and optimistic, an attitude that enables him to enjoy himself in extracurriculars even if he is not necessarily winning. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject possesses a pleasant, open and cooperative demeanor, frequently demonstrating his sense of humor and willing to smile over mentions of his bridge crew or his wholehearted love of being starship-bound. Authority believes the subject is generally realistic, but generally trends heavily towards optimism and has a particularly open mind in regards to other species, people, and their natures. Authority notes that this may explain why the subject is willing to, as self-described, occasionally participate in "swift and rash decision making".

At this time, authority would register some fairly minor concerns in regards to the subject's self-awareness of his limits. Subject admitted to being potentially unable to put aside his work temporarily in order to relax or unwind, increasing the chance for burnout. Subject also indicated that he will tend to keep his problems to himself. In both cases, a strong support system will easily mitigate potential problems, so with the subject's close bond to his bridge crew, these may both be non-issues.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject's outward manner is generally terse, her speech succinct and even, at times, almost brusque, but otherwise fairly typical for those of her species. She is not unfeeling, however. Subject evidences the existence of close emotional connections that make up the body of her social support structure and has a history of successfully dealing with the severances that sometimes occur with these connections. Subject does appear to possess a possibly unusual proclivity for physical symbols/reminders and a willingness to engage in minor displays of ostentation. Subject herself admits to a past inability to perform her duty when faced with her own potential mortality, but she has since discovered the discipline to stay steadfast.

Subject's external worldview is moderately positive, generally remaining conservatively optimistic and unsuspicious of other people and their motives. Subject's sense of self is likewise confident and concrete, both in terms of personal worth and assuredness of social support structure. Authority recognizes that the subject is, unsurprisingly of most physicians, primarily motivated by a desire to assist and aid other people, though the position of being in direct application of said help is not specifically necessary.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject presented a quiet and subdued manner during interview. Though not exactly reluctant to discuss his personal history or answer queries, subject nonetheless displayed a certain sense of aversion. Like typical introverts, this unenthusiasm was significantly lessened when the topic of discussion was on the subject's field of knowledge or on his personal hobbies. Subject enjoys solitude and is most productive when he's alone, a state he professes to be happy with and does not want to change. Authority did observe periodic displays of the subject's very subtle and understated sense of humor as well.

Subject is not completely free of troubled history, having struggled with identifying his passions and immaturity made it difficult for him to meet short term goals. These past challenges seem to have given him an additional awareness and determination to succeed in the present. Additionally, though subject is less outgoing than some of his peers, he possesses an internalized sense of locus of control and maintains a healthy sense of self-confidence, unlike others who mistake or attempt to mask their social anxieties as introversion. Subject's world view is moderate to moderately positive.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject displayed an eminently polite and fairly placid manner during interview, behavior that is a bit incongruent with the species normal, which by extension is counterintuitively consistent with the subject's choice to pursue unorthodox career paths. Subject seems rarely inclined to display emotion outwardly and seems to be fully inured in his work and research, having selected or fallen into a fairly isolated lifestyle with no ambition or desire to seek out more than this. Subject disdains the majority of his native species cultures, which is possibly the only item on which the subject demonstrated any strong feeling.

Though it is possible the subject will remain satisfied in his current state for the foreseeable future, the lack of a developed emotional support structure is concerning and authority feels the lack of motivation to improve his social situation is carrying over into other aspects of life. The subject mentions a partial desire to learn an instrument, for example, but prioritizes work instead, which already consumes a considerable volume of the subject's day to day life. Subject's outlook on life is predominantly neutral and though he is certainly a devoted scientist, he seems to lack the typical sense of wonder that normally accompanies that, or at least the ability to express such.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

During interview, subject presented a uniformly pleasant and good-humored countenance, easily moved to smiling or other genial expressions, which was underscored by a more subdued proclivity towards meditativeness and contemplation. Subject is highly expressive, in sometimes unexpected ways, and though his personal passions may not have led him to directly choosing his path, he remains devoted to his obligations, both professional and familial. Authority notes that subject tends to be eloquent, even in casual situations, likely a byproduct of his artistically-inclined sensibilities.

Despite the presence of some difficult emotional turmoil in his early history, subject trends strongly optimistic, believing almost unreservedly in the goodness of others and wishing that others will always be able to do the same. He asserts to have little interest in influencing others and consciously works at maintaining fairness amongst those he commands. Subject manages to strike a stable balance between personal confidence and humility, though he is not above periodic self-deprecation, and the degree and speed of his mood and emotional shifts from one topic to the next is within healthy parameters.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview, with caveat.

Interview with subject began reasonably well and without incident, subject seemed open to discussion and nearly nonchalant about the proceedings. Subject's manner was somewhat unpolished and sometimes occasionally defensive, though she otherwise seems to be a cooperative personality. Subject's responses, though not unfriendly, were frequently terse and lacking in embellishment, requiring authority to continually ask more questions for information. Subject especially seems to value longevity and length of service, over other traits.

Issues arose when authority began inquiries about the subject's family life, whereupon the subject became massively evasive regarding the topic of her deceased younger sibling. It became clear, even without the details that the subject was unwilling to provide, that subject is suffering from significant survivor's guilt, having been in the unenviable position of potentially being able to prevent her sibling's death and failing to. Subject seemed to be under some mistaken impression that discussion of this incident would result in her removal from service, rather than out of any true debilitating trauma, thus authority is opting to register only an advisory rather than a mandatory relief.

Previous negative experiences with professional counseling services have likely resulted in the subject's misunderstanding of the authority's role, as well as serious distrust of the system in general.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

During interview, subject presented a pleasant and generally expressive and cheerful demeanor. Subject smiled easily and frequently displayed a relaxed sense of humor, and would always give his full and courteous attention to each conversational topic in turn. He possessed good emotional balance despite some relatively recent traumatic events and was capable of timely emotional transitions when necessary and appropriate. Subject was, perhaps, a bit loath to discuss or express sentiments that might be considered negative or unseemly for an officer in his position, suggesting a deeply-rooted sense of honor or discretion. He likewise has a preference for completing his most meaningful social transactions live, perhaps finding the immediacy necessary for full engagement.

Authority has considered that perhaps the subject is, by nature, fairly social and has unfortunately not had much opportunity in the last several years to develop friendships of particular depth, due to untimely transfers amongst the senior bridge crew. Subject's emotional support network seems to be limited to family only as a result; authority anticipates that this will change with the subject's continued transition in current posting. Subject has an otherwise healthy sense of self-confidence and trends towards optimism and positivity. He is largely a moderate personality, however, and is tempered by an awareness of reality's potential stings.

Authority observed the subject to be markedly relaxed and self-possessed, exuding a quiet confidence in himself and his judgement. Authority assumes that the subject’s comfortable demeanor is largely a result of the subject’s conviction in his own instincts, which appear to have been finely honed by professional experience.

The authority is pleased to note that the subject’s bearing is assertive, rather than arrogant, and that it leads him to foster strong personal relationships with his senior staff. Subject does possess a streak of modesty in regards to his work, both professional and personal, and has an especial appreciation and reverance for the abstractions of beauty and honor. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject has been attending personal therapy for many successive years already, so authority is unsure whether the extraordinary level of self-introspection the subject engages in is due to personality or learned behavior. In either case, the practice seems to be reflex now, with the subject almost constantly analyzing every personal action and others' external actions for meaning and motive, intentioned or not. Her manner oscillates between tense and tentative, while her stress seems to manifest as unchecked bursts of talkativeness.

Subject feels perpetually out of place and unable to relate to others. She has difficulty striking the balance between demonstrating too much or too little interest in others when cultivating social relationships. As typical of high anxiety sufferers, subject blames herself when things goes wrong while attributing social successes to luck and circumstance, though at least has a reprieve when it comes to her area of expertise, in which she claims a level of self-assuredness. Subject trends positive on outlook on other individuals and their motivations, but moderately negative otherwise, with a largely externalized locus of control.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject's attitude during interview was that of one who was entirely bored and burned out by the counseling process, she demonstrated very little interest in actual examination of her issues, preferring instead to cleave to her previously formed preconceptions and expectations. Authority feels that some of these impressions may have genuinely been formed due to negative interactions with other officers with regrettably backwards attitudes, but subject's assumption of these attitudes as the standard rather than the exception prevents her from breaking away from the very interaction patterns that cause more of the same. This feedback loop is not helped by the subject's generally low estimation of her own likeability.

Apart from her personal life, however, subject seems to be sufficiently well-adjusted to handle her responsibilities and professional duties with credibility. Subject's perspective is primarily grounded and while not exactly optimistic, neither does she shut down in resignation when things are not going her way. Subject's world view on the motivations on others is generally positive in circumstances other than dealing with herself personally and she maintains a balanced sense on locus of control. Authority does have some concern for the subject's emotional support network being too fragile.

During the interview, the subject demonstrated himself to be in possession of a fairly amicable demeanor. Subject’s conversational manner was fairly easy and open and he demonstrated a willingness to laugh at himself, suggesting a generally unassuming and approachable presence that likely makes him more personable to his crew.

Authority observes that despite this, the subject approaches his command with a strong sense of prudence, preferring to be patiently circumspect whenever possible, especially in an approach to a combat situation. Authority believes this trait may allow the subject sufficient distance to notice details that others may overlook. Subject also evinced a distaste for recklessness and takes the first duty of the captain with the gravity that it deserves.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

During interview, authority generally observed the subject to be remarkably controlled and composed, reflected both externally and internally as a well-moderated and highly-disciplined individual, which is most likely a result of her original training in peacekeeping and security enforcement. Despite great personal and larger-scale societal grief, subject presents herself with great calm and reserve, though she clearly possesses a general survivalist's streak, with a willingness to go against the grain in times of great desperation. Authority would note that subject's speech pattern changed as she turned somewhat evasive or uncertain when questioned on her future intentions regarding the remainder of her species, so it seems likely that subject's stated opinion on this topic is not yet completely formed.

Subject maintains largely moderate world view, neither clearly positive or negative. Though she does professes to a healthy sense of self and confidence and, gratifyingly, does not have an overly negative outlook on future prospects, willing to entertain some sense of optimism and a moderate sense of humor on surrounding circumstances. Subject's opinion on others and their motivations are a little more neutral.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject possesses a somewhat unsophisticated, but open and attentive attitude which was largely in evidence during interview, through his cooperative manner and frequent smiles. In discussion, subject revealed an open preference for genuine friendship with his officers. The authority would like to note that in fleet-wide research surveys, these traits have historically ranked very high as favorable attributes in a Captain and frequently result in a crew that is highly motivated to please.

Subject did evidence some difficulty in discussing more painful topics, suggesting that he has not yet cultivated an ability to emotionally detach himself at will. This is not unusual, and may not even be favorable, in a personality that is as naturally amicable as the subject’s, but it is possible that this may change in time. Subject did demonstrate that he was able to successfully shift off a difficult topic and fully focus on the issue at hand, thus the authority believes the subject is not at risk for emotional distraction at this time.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for continued Academy study, as of her assessment date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview. However, authority does want to register some concern that subject is not well acclimated to Starfleet and Federation standards of behavior, especially in terms of personal hygiene, and her socialization skills seem severely underdeveloped. Authority remains uncertain at this point whether it's sufficient cause for candidacy review.

Subject's manner during interview was somewhat muddled, her speech and dialogue is hedged with commonplace filler syllables and is not well enunciated. Her bearing seemed soporific and almost borderline disinterested. While subject has acknowledged herself to be "odd" and that she has never felt like she has belonged anywhere, even on her native planet, subject likewise asserts that she is quite accustomed to feeling like an outsider and while marginally interested in developing more Federation-like habits, subject seems unconvinced that such might be an achieveable goal.

The subject appears to demonstrate some self-contradictory behavior when it comes to inconveniencing herself versus her colleagues, specifically in regards to conflicting cultural expectations. Subject would rather research and seek a technological advancement or solution rather than change her own behavior to accomodate hygienic standards, while in other scenarios she will voluntarily confine herself to prevent peer discomfort. Subject does possess some mild ambitions for her own career, which are somewhat overshadowed by her somewhat intensely negative perspective on her position as it relates to others' perceptions. Subject trends neutral in terms of optimism and outlook on others and their motivations.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his official transfer date. Authority affirms that no potential psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Subject appeared to be in possession of a fairly succinct and almost terse manner, rarely choosing to elaborate on his answers unless specifically prompted and never equivocating from making the point as simple as possible. Subject also seems to have the ability to stay flexible and adapt quickly to significant change, as authority recognizes that subject has a tendency to find himself in circumstances that demand a career shift, either due to dissatisfaction with the way his skills are being underutilized or because of need. Akin to this is the subject's interest in post-apocalyptic fiction, which draws the subject's interest purportedly because of curiosity on how societies are affected by massive devastation.

Subject's world view trends highly positive and highly optimistic, especially in regards to the nature of other sentients, as well as an equivalently positive regard for self and his support network. Contrary to this is his apparent disinterest in speaking of his personal family tragedy. While these are clearly sensitive topics, authority is comfortable in dismissing them as non-issues looking forward assuming there are no undisclosed details.

Authority also notes that the subject is fundamentally modest, though not at the expense of her own self-confidence, and frequently values the opinions of her fellow officers when making decisions.

Subject's outlook is roughly optimistic, though she remains somewhat cautious and prefers to remain neutral in the face of unknowns, rather than hopeful. Subject professes to being well supported emotionally, among crew and family and her command style makes her particularly approachable by the former. Authority also recognizes that the subject is decidedly self-sufficient and finds the concept of changing oneself to suit others to be distasteful.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of continual sound mind. According to official Starfleet record and the subject’s own personal recounting, the authority acknowledges that the subject has a complex personal history consisting of a number of potentially traumatic events. Despite this, the subject has successfully established herself as a fully-functioning first officer and seems to suffer from none of the shocks or stresses that are typically associated with her history. The subject’s interest in her own mental and emotional health is to be lauded, as long as it does not become a serious source of preoccupation. Subject also noted a lack of sociability in herself; however, the authority believes the subject falls well within the accepted standard parameters of variation among sentient beings.

The authority does recognize that while the subject has coped credibly with her difficult history, there is potentially still room for improvement, as the subject appears to have some latent self-doubt which may have an adverse effect on the progression of her career. The authority believes further discussion and exploration is necessary before determining whether or not said trait is due to history or genetics, but would hypothesize that some measure of closure may help mitigate its presence.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

At this time, the authority would also like to register minor concerns about the subject's emotional well-being. During interview, subject was asked about his time spent as part of the Borg Collective. The authority observed a great deal of emotional turmoil at the recounting and notes that the subject still harbors significant negative emotional association with the relevant memories. Subject seems to have perfected the art of compartmentalizing and does not seem to suffer unless he is specifically confronted with the incident.

Subject's records show a previous mental health assessment in which the subject's self-worth was declared alarmingly low. The authority was not able to observe this directly during the interview, but agrees that this could be a likely scenario for a victim of borg assimilation. Suggest that subject's sessions with personal counselor consist primarily of confronting assimilation memories in order to reduce the strength of associated negative emotions, which may potentially help with subject's self-worth as well.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

During interview, authority observed subject to be in possession of a pleasant attitude, with lightly-humored and generally affable mannerisms. Authority was gratified to learn of the subject's willingness to actively pursue improvement in his surroundings, as well as a keen interest in values of cooperation and striving to achieve comfortably balanced working relationships with his peers, all qualities that seem to be increasingly rare in this day and age. Subject maintains a practical head, noting potential areas for concern without leaping too quickly to negative conclusions.

Both the subject's perceived outlooks on the world in general and on other people and their motivations trends towards positive. Subject has also cultivated a fairly strong sense of self without tilting towards arrogance, enabling his thoughtful demeanor and readiness to seek out counsel from those around him, as well as his certainty in the strength of his support network. Subject does acknowledge a trivial dislike for the more combative aspects of Starfleet and may potentially have difficulty empathizing with those he disagrees with, but as he maintains a fairly realistic approach to most scenarios, authority currently has no concern that subject might make any civil misstep in these regards.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Subject evidenced some early nervousness during interview, but gradually settled into rhythm of conversation, though he was not fully relaxed until he had exited the interview room. For the most part, subject presented a pleasant manner, attentive without being intense and communicated with relaxed and casual speech. Authority observed a great deal of pride and satisfaction with the subject's chosen vocation, despite the early tension it may have caused with family, which in the present is resolved. Subject does require plenty of physical exertion due to his primarily planetside upbringing and manages this primarily through holodeck activities, as well as meditation at will.

Subject has little to no career ambitions at this point, he seems to be eminently satisfied with the role of explorer, or at least accompanying the explorers in his security role. He remains largely impressed by the wonders of the universe and content to let things take him where they will, as long as he continues to see new and novel things. CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Subject presents a refreshingly earnest manner and is both deferential and obliging in conversation. During interview, he freely discussed and shared his observations of his own attitudes and behavior, indicative of a significant amount of time spent in personal self-reflection and self-analysis. Subject professes to be highly adaptive and his problem-solving approach generally consists of focused cooperation and teamwork efforts. He appears to generally avoid setting expectations or specific goals, preferring instead to observe the natural flow of circumstances and work towards guiding prospects in the preferred direction.

Authority notes that the subject does tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, often assuming there is some context he is lacking if he encounters behavior he doesn't understand. As a result, he trends moderately optimistic generally, but in terms of worldview, he is squarely neutral with a varying locus of control. He has a few very specific philosophical tenets to which he holds with conviction and provides the foundational pillars around which the remainder of his worldview is constructed. CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

During interview, authority observed the subject to be in the welcome possession of what seems like an increasingly rare sort of friendly formality. His polite manner of bowing was softened by his amiable facial expressions and occasional deadpan humor, though the authority has considered that the subject's smiling is sometimes more for setting his conversational partner at ease, rather than serving as a genuine expression of his own amusement. Subject professed to some difficulty in adapting to the more casual social scene on station and a keen interest in self-improvement, on this and other matters, which may explain the subject's more formal approach in interpersonal interactions, so at this time, the authority is not concerned by his residual feelings of displacement.

Authority additionally observed a non-marginal quantity of self-discipline, with the subject providing diplomatic responses rather than the most immediate thing that comes into his mind. The subject has a very strong sense of self and is likewise strongly opinionated. His personal worldview trends widely towards optimism, but far more neutral on his perspective of other people and their motivations. Subject is a complex thinker and even on simple questions, he tends to five multifaceted responses, drawing out multiple angles of approach and solution alike.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Upon first impression, subject presents a resolute and pensively grounded manner, which lends an air of seriousness that is probably used to great effect when working with crew. However, what was more and completely unanticipated on the authority's part was how easily this solemn aura was broken by the subject's ready smiles and other expressions of amusement, a surprising but not unwelcome discovery. Subject professes that she does prefer working amongst those who are socially inclusive and have a sense of humor that rises as easily as her own, but authority notes that her ability to maintain a serious mien likely enables her to work just as successfully with those who don't, a flexibility that many could envy.

Subject is tremendously cerebral, with a critical dislike for the acknowledged sometimes-necessity of force, and utilizes her own experiences to guide her conclusions on the potential motivations of others. Authority measures that the subject maintains a moderately positive outlook on other sentients, with a more temperately neutral view on circumstances beyond her control. Though her initially reserved manner means that she does not quite follow the boisterously confident Captain archetype, the subject still possesses the irrepressible streak of ambition that motivates her to greater, more self-fulfilling work and achievements.

DISCUSSION

During interview, subject's manner was collected and easygoing, never hesitating on providing responses when asked, even on somewhat sensitive topics. Considering's subject early childhood history, she has adapted remarkably well to Federation life and expected standards of behavior and social norms. Subject shows no outward symptoms of trauma normally associated with victims of slave trafficking. Authority is uncertain if this speaks towards a particular emotional resiliency on the subject's part or if the subject's youth during the trauma period made her more likely to suppress the occurrences or dismiss them as normal.

Subject instead demonstrates considerable patience, as well as a quiet determination to prove to others that she is an exception to the stereotypes sometimes associated with her species. This is no mean feat, of course, though subject was also warned that she is likely going to be facing species prejudices all her life, a fact that she acknowledged and seemed duly unconcerned by. INTERVIEW STARDATE: ((19 Dec 2018))

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Subject is in possession of a moderate and comfortable demeanor. Though initially nervous at start of interview, she was responsively expressive and willing to smile and laugh when content called for it. Subject dislikes being idle and frequently looks for ways to keep busy, due to anxiety caused by decision paralysis and lack of direction. Though authority considers the subject to have acclimated fairly well considering historical events, evidence of minor issues continue to linger, such as the subject's increased stress levels when encountering very authoritative individuals. This is perhaps preferable to being overly meek and subdued, which is also common for individuals with similar traumatic histories, but has potential to cause further problems down the road, especially as the subject follows her ambitions into command.

Subject is thoughtful and appears highly receptive to rational argument and suggestion. She seems more naturally inclined to identify as a positive-facing and optimistic individual, thought authority observes that this has understandably been tempered rather forcefully by past experience. She does not lack self-confidence, but neither seems to exhibit it in full view. Authority is concerned about the subject's potential lack of emotional support network, counseling is strongly recommended in followup of high stress situations.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Subject started out interview with a noteworthy level of anxiety, but this did not prevent him from fairly frequently exhibiting mirth and animation at various opportunities. Subject's sense of humor is quick and casual, sometimes borderline flippant, but never spiteful. Authority observes that the subject was prone to periodic prattling, a habit which he seems to recognize and tries to curb, and comfortable with offering personal opinions that are almost too frank. He takes his responsibilities as a department leader and as a physician very seriously, cognizant of the burden of trust endowed to him and determined not to betray it.

Subject has a very good handle on his career aspirations and what he finds fulfilling, recognizing what balance between his personal growth and direct assistance to others makes him happiest. Subject trends towards moderately positive in outlook and has a strong sense of self and his control over his circumstances. He does have a somewhat suspicious attitude towards others and their motives, though not excessively so. Authority harbors some minor concern that the subject's emotional support network is not as developed as others, but it is offset by the subject's willingness to discuss difficult topics as long as he's invited to it.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Subject is in possession of a fairly relaxed and mild manner that was both measured and composed by turns during the subject's interview. Though he was occasionally willing to demonstrate amusement on current discussion topics, for the most part, he remained fairly unrevealing in his attitude. This is fairly congruent with the subject's generally private demeanor and belief in maintaining a level of emotional distance from his work colleagues. Work and pleasure are compartmentalized for the subject and while he is not disinterested in making friends or more, potential future rapports hinge on mutual agreement of this division between personal and professional lives.

Subject seems to carry himself with a sort of air that suggests maturity or growth achieved through some personal hardship. He professes to be less driven towards risk-taking than he once was and has developed increased patience for finding a better, more responsible answer, rather than the immediate 'heroic' one. Subject has an interest in mentorship, perhaps out of gratitude for the leaders who filled that role for him previously, and maintains equal reserves of modesty and ambition alike. Authority notes that the subject's emotional support network might be perhaps a bit on the lean side, but healthy. The majority of the subject's perception towards others and overall worldview are fairly moderate or neutral, with a balanced sense of locus of control.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Authority's first observations primarily concern the degree of guardedness that subject employs at nearly all times, not just during interview session. Subject is enormously private and has impressive mental discipline, which is not exactly atypical for those of his species, but the extent to which it exists here is still remarkable. Another noteworthy item is the subject's quiet disinterest in demonstrating any denial of his emotions and, even, a very occasionally willingness to express a deadpan humor. Aside from this, the subject possesses the commonly blunt and unvarnished, straightforward attitude, though authoirty is grateful to note that he is not overly terse and is more intent on giving complete answers rather than short ones.

Subject is committed to precision and accuracy, and is naturally unafraid of confrontation and is unconcerned about providing unpopular or contentious opinions. He trends more towards negativity in his outlook on others and external circumstances. Though categorically realistic, he is cynical and unyielding in his observations of others and their motivations as incentivized by extrinsic rewards rather than intrinsic ones. His own professional aspirations are simple: to provide value and improve other peoples' lives, however indirectly.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

As it is the authority's experience that every Joined relationship is unique and slightly different from the next, authority spent much of the interview exploring and establishing the nature of the subject's Joining with their symbiont. The blending of consciousnesses in the subject's case seems to be entirely seamless, leaving the authority unable to detect any secondary 'echo' presence. Subject herself states that the current host was a reclusive, submissive personality, which has resulted in the symbiont being the more dominant influence. Authority is concerned by the remaining unanswered question, however, regarding why the subject was selected for Joining when she professes to not bringing anything new to the proverbial table.

Subject trends very strongly towards optimism and though subject appears to operate with a confident mien, authority feels that she remains afflicted by a subtle, underlying anxiety, indicated by her preference for pacing and other fidgety movements. Her hundreds of years of experience as garnered through her symbiont should afford a significant level of self-assuredness, and yet authority feels it is all undermined by the subject's uncertainty of who she is as an individual. The subject seems to be entirely defined by those who came before her, including their problems, her only unique feature being her professional interests.

Stardate: ((1.21.15))
Length of Interview: 1.5 hrs

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

The authority granted by Starfleet Medical P.D. finds the subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty, as of his assessment date. Authority affirms that no psychological trauma was observed during the interview.

Authority's conclusion at this time is that the subject exemplifies the pinnicle strengths of at least half of his bloodline's culture. While occasionally pedantic, subject demonstrated a perpetually patient and circumspect manner, capable of reasoning through a myriad number of variables and factors to arrive at eminently practical solutions or decisions in his day to day workload. Subject seems to be, for now, incapable of taking offense and remains diplomatic even through discussions of personal issues. Subject is unafraid of asking for clarification on any given inquiry, demonstrating a clear preference for understanding a situation in full before committing to a course of action, rather than making an assumption that could result in needless risk.

Subject's outlook on the course of humanity and other sentients' choices is generally positive, though that may be more due to statistical reasoning than any particular philosophical morality. His opinions are generally not moderate in level of passion, the subject either believes in his statement with full conviction or he seeks to understand the situation with greater detail before committing to any statement at all. This is aligned with the subject's willingness to seek others' opinions and solicit feedback, while remaining completely confident in his own self-worth.

Finally, authority notes that subject's mixed parentage to be an unexplored topic and authority remains uncertain as to what significance might lie in wait.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

Subject is possessed of an inordinately vibrant and spirited personality, freely expressive of her ire and amusement both. She is capable of harboring great strength of emotion, yet is sufficiently self-possessed to perform the appropriate emotional shifts to new topics within a healthy margin of time and effort. Subject is particularly proud of being an upstanding officer and keeping a clean record is enormously important to her and though her confidence has been recently shaken in this regard, she retains enough to enforce a personal demand of being at least professionally valued by those around her, disdaining to stay in an environment where she is no longer respected.

Authority was particularly impressed by the subject's decompilation of previous challenging professional experiences and especially the subject's elegant summation of the philosophical differences that caused these issues; the subject not only appears to possess a detail-oriented memory but also sufficient awareness of her environment to draw complex conclusions of others behavior and how it relates to her own. A bit headstrong and sometimes cynical, the subject nevertheless seems to retain a belief in the general goodness of others and prioritizes upright values and family over all else.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

The subject presented himself with a cordial and mild manner, hinting at a generally cooperative and relatively grounded personality. His responses to questions were open and straightforward, neither offering too much information or too little. Authority observed that the subject seems to be particularly adept at ceding interest when it comes to business that he doesn't perceive as his own, which can certainly be a useful attitude to cultivate in certain circumstances. Subject professes to be eminently satisfied with his current station and intends to stay focused on his career for the time being.

Subject's opinions and world view are generally moderate in content and in degree, with a slight leaning towards optimism and positivity. He is thoughtful about his decisions and primarily possesses an internal locus of control. Authority considers his emotional support network satisfactory.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

During interview, subject generally presented a placid and mellow demeanor. Subject tends towards casual language and presentation, with straightforward and plainspoken speech that clearly carries his meaning with little ambiguity. Subject demonstrated a glib sense of humor throughout, sometimes rather unexpectedly, but not distasteful for the given situation. Subject carries himself with an attitude of readiness and experience, comfortable with the challenges of security work, equally prepared should circumstances go suddenly awry or stay completely normal. Though his attitude is not particularly inflexible, subject does appear to possess a certain unyielding belief in maintaining order and lawfulness, despite potential personal disagreement with what's morally right.

Subject has some competitive tendencies and sometimes requires a friendly antagonism to motivate himself for certain tasks. This perhaps explains his otherwise lackadaisical approach to his career. He has no particular ambitions to speak of and no long term goals and generally just seems eminently content with his lot in life, prepared to just wait and see where things take him. Authority would categorize the subject as being a bit headstrong and feels that, despite being quite frank, the subject is still capable of discretion and is not in the habit of blurting everything on his mind. Subject trends towards neutral to slightly negative on the motivations of others, though in certain areas, is still willing to practice a little optimism.

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF EVALUATION

Basic Profile Assessment.

CONCLUSION

Authority finds subject to be of sound mental health and fit for active duty.

DISCUSSION

During interview, subject presented an unpretentious and candid personality. His more cheerful expressions were mild, but ready and unstudied, and his responses indicated a preference for speaking honestly and self-deprecatingly, rather than affecting confidence. Subject briefly discussed his reprimand and suspension from a year ago with a very grounded attitude. He was non-defensive and possessed a measure of self-awareness when asked about possibly backsliding, all traits which the authority finds reassuring. Authority hopes that the subject establishes more connections here on his new posting, as his current emotional support network is on the thinner side.

Subject has no particular career ambitions and appears to be content to see where the universe takes him, though he does particularly enjoy working in security and dislikes the planetside rural lifestyle. Subject has generally moderate to pessimistic outlooks on the motivations of others. His self-confidence level is flatter than average, though not unexpected for those with similar counseling histories, with higher levels of self-judgement. Subject's locus of control is heavily external.

DISCUSSION

Subject has freshly returned from a troublingly long assignment in primarily combat-heavy environments and demonstrated several expected signs of the same. Subject claims meditation as a coping mechanism and, apart from one moment of uncontrolled emotion, generally seems composed in the face of her recent experiences. Subject remains strongly satisfied with her work and general career, feels neither overworked nor underappreciated, and suffers little to no burnout symptoms.
