Officer observations are an optional part of the post-recruitment process and may be used at any time for one character to to give IC feedback/reviews of another character’s work on missions or other events.

If you would like one of these for one of your characters, it is best to work and arrange for one ahead of the designated event, so that the character writing the evaluation can take some notes on your character’s performance during the mission.

The following template has been provided in order to assist with writing more objective reviews.

Not sure. I keep thinking about the collision with the Ambit-6 and how it could have been avoided, but I don’t know that it could have been possible. We could have been less pro-active, I guess, and let the World Guard do it and only assist them indirectly, but that doesn’t seem like the Starfleet way either.

ANY ADDITIONAL REMARKS:
CAPT Konieczko communicated really well with crew members on the bridge and with the USS October, which was also on the task force. They kept each other updated frequently and coordinated decisions.

After our encounter, in which we assisted and defended allied ships, the Captain raised suspicions about their reasons for being in the system at the time. I believe this was harmless and that the Captain has good intentions, but I would remind him that trust and compassion are key values in Starfleet and the Federation.

Ensign Izly quickly adapted to changes in sickbay. Going from treating a simple case of nausea to quickly adapting to having to care for a patient going into cardiac arrest she will do well in her career. Her scores may seem low, however this is because she performed to the standard expected of any starfleet medical officer, and in the future in other situations these scores will likely be higher.

While I cannot say if I would have done any different myself, hindsight being what it is, rather than deflecting requests from Captain Jural for the return of the Urzva crew, I would have admitted they were aboard our Runabout and requested they return to the Dallas for treatment, inviting Captain Jural to remain until the crew had been restored to health, so we could ascertain the correct process for repatriation to Klingon space. Regardless, so far the outcome appears to have been for the best.

Due to the peculiar nature of the situation in which we found ourselves operating as an away team (the Commander being a Klingon, dealing with people who had just killed many Klingons), it is this Officer's opinion that such a behavior is to be considered doubly commendable.

Yes: while the Commander first attempts at drawing attention away from Capt. Mirazuni in order, in his opinion, to ease her own task, were clumsy, to say the least, she showed an ability to immediately reassess the situation and adapting her behavior accordingly.

The Commander performed as expected for a Commanding Officer for this assignment. It is important to note the high level nature of the assignment when reading this report.

The Commander made careful decisions throughout, from appointing an Acting First Officer (the Chief Engineer, chosen because of his intimate knowledge of the ship, vital for this mission), to working alongside allies (another Starfleet vessel, a Romulan vessel, and an allied Cardassian Vessel). The Commander delegated responsibility, took risks when necessary to complete mission, but at no point risked the lives of her crew.

It is this officer’s opinion that the Commander has shown the qualities that elevate her from simply First Officer, to Commanding Officer level.
